Description
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1による液晶表示装置の概略構成の一例を示した図である。本実施の形態の液晶表示装置1では、反転制御信号に基づいて交流駆動が行われる。この液晶表示装置1は、アクティブマトリクス型表示装置であり、マトリクス状に配置された画素ごとにスイッチング素子としての薄膜トランジスタを備え、液晶表示パネル部2、ソース駆動部3、ゲート駆動部4、補間処理部A1及び反転制御信号生成部A2からなる。液晶表示パネル部2上には、インターレース信号を走査線補間することにより得られるノンインターレース信号に基づく映像が表示される。

Claims (3)
- ノンインターレース信号から垂直同期信号を抽出する同期信号抽出手段と、
上記垂直同期信号に基づいて、画素ごとのスイッチング素子に対する信号電圧の極性をフレームごとに反転させる第1の極性反転信号を生成する第1の反転信号生成手段と、
上記ノンインターレース信号における奇数フレーム及び偶数フレーム間で輝度レベルの差が所定の閾値を超えている画素がフレーム内に所定数以上あるフレームが所定数繰り返された場合に反転制御信号を生成する反転制御信号生成手段と、
上記反転制御信号入力時には、上記垂直同期信号に同期して垂直走査周期ごとに上記第1の極性反転信号を反転させて第2の極性反転信号として出力し、上記反転制御信号の非入力時には、上記第1の極性反転信号が上記第2の極性反転信号として出力する第2の反転信号生成手段と、
上記第2の極性反転信号に基づいて、上記各スイッチング素子を駆動するスイッチング素子駆動手段とを備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 上記第2の反転信号生成手段は、遅延フリップフロップ回路及び排他的論理和回路からなり、上記反転制御信号及び上記垂直同期信号がそれぞれ上記遅延フリップフロップ回路に入力され、この遅延フリップフロップ回路からの出力信号及び上記第1の極性反転信号をそれぞれ上記排他的論理和回路に入力することにより、上記第2の極性反転信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記反転制御信号生成手段は、上記反転制御信号を4フレームごとに出力し、この反転制御信号が入力した直後の1フレーム間のみ、上記第2の極性反転信号を上記第1の極性反転信号が反転した信号とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
