本発明は、請求項1の上位概念部に記載した、溶接された金属薄板冷却通路を備えたリング支持体を製造するための方法に関する。

このような形式のリング支持体は、例えばドイツ連邦共和国特許第19750021号明細書、米国特許第4907545号明細書、特開平5−240347号公報又はドイツ連邦共和国実用新案登録第7212560号明細書により公知である。この場合、金属薄板冷却通路を備えたリング体は閉じた状態で鋳込まれて、ピストンの製造後にはじめて冷却オイル供給用の開口が穿孔によって形成される。金属薄板冷却通路の材料は一般的にはオーステナイト鋼より成っているので、冷却通路の穿孔及びばり取りは困難である。

そこで本発明は、冒頭に述べた形式の方法において、冷却通路に開口を形成するための簡単な手段を提供することである。

この課題を請求項1の特徴部によって解決される。有利な実施態様は従属請求項に記載されている。

冷却通路リング支持体を鋳包む前に開口を形成することがより簡単である。アルフィン前処理(Alfinvorbehandlung)の際に金属薄板冷却通路内に侵入する溶融物は不都合ではないことが証明されている。何故ならばこの溶融物は、アルフィン浴から冷却通路リング支持体を取り除いた後で十分に流出するからである。

鋳型内でピストンを製造する際に、冷却通路リング支持体は有利には主軸によって保持され、この主軸は同時に金属薄板冷却通路の開口を閉鎖するようになっている。

本発明を以下に図面を用いて詳しく説明する。

図1は、鋳包む前に製造された、金属薄板冷却通路及び開口を備えた本発明によるリング支持体である(横断面図)。

リング支持体1は、外側の保持リング2と内側3とを有しており、この内側3は、金属薄板リング若しくは金属薄板冷却通路5と共に、内燃機関のためのピストンの閉鎖された冷却通路を形成している。リング支持体1と金属薄板リング5とは、互いに溶接されている。

金属薄板リング5内には複数の開口4が形成されており、これらの開口4で以て冷却通路リング支持体は後で、鋳型の主軸(Pinole)に差し込まれる。この場合、主軸は内部が排気されていて、主軸の直径は、ピストンの鋳包み成形時に溶融物が金属薄板冷却通路内に十分に侵入するのを妨げないように、開口4に合わされている。

Claims (2)

  1. 溶接された金属薄板通路を備えたリング支持体を製造するための方法であって、金属薄板冷却通路(5)が冷却オイルを供給及び導出するための開口(4)を有しており、溶接された冷却通路(5)を備えたリング支持体(1)を、製造後に浸漬浴内でアルフィン前処理し、次いで鋳型内で溶融物によって鋳包む方法において、
    冷却通路の開口を、鋳包み時に主軸によって閉鎖し、それと同時にこれらの主軸が、金属薄板冷却通路を備えたリング支持体を鋳型内で位置決めするようにすることを特徴とする、溶接された金属薄板通路を備えたリング支持体を製造するための方法。
  2. 主軸の内部を排気する、請求項記載の方法。
