Description
Filter)とは吸気部、触媒部、濾過部及び排気部から構成されている。濾過部はセラミックハニカムモノリスフィルター(Ceramic Honeycomb Monolith Filter)を用いたDPF(101)であり、流入するディーゼル排気ガス内の粒子状物質を捕集するDPF(101)の前端部に貴金属を用いた触媒部のディーゼル酸化触媒機(DOC;102)を置いて、排気ガスに豊富に存在する酸素と窒素酸化物とを反応させて、優れた酸化力の二酸化窒素を生成して、DPF(101)で捕集した粒子状物質を酸化させる方法で粒子状物質を除去する装置である。
従って、光触媒層が内部にコーティングされ、また電極が一体型に構成されたディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置の製造方法を提供する。
さらにまた、本発明は、ディーゼルエンジンから排出されるガスを濾過するフィルターを用い、粒子状物質を捕集し除去する、ディーゼルエンジンからの排出ガスの浄化方法を提供する。上記の浄化方法は、上記フィルターとして、内部面が光触媒物質でコーティングされてまたディーゼルエンジンの排気ガスを濾過して粒子状物質を捕集する多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体を用い、ディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスを濾過して粒子状物質を捕集する段階と、プラズマを発生させ、上記担体の内部面にコーティングされている光触媒を活性化する段階と、上記活性化された光触媒の酸化力を用い上記捕集された粒子状物質を除去する段階とを含み、上記担体は多数の単位セルで構成されており、上記単位セルの入口側及び出口側は導電性金属で交互にプラギングされていることを特徴とする。
上記排出ガスの浄化方法において、上記プラギングされた導電性金属は、互いに連結されて上記プラズマを発生する電極として機能する。また、上記プラギングされた導電性金属は、上記フィルターの両端部に金属層をコーティングすることにより、互いに連結される。

上記フィルターとして機能する、内部面が光触媒物質でコーティングされてまたディーゼルエンジンの排気ガスを濾過して粒子状物質を捕集する多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体と、
上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体を構成するそれぞれの単位セルの入口側及び出口側に交互に設けた導電性金属からなるプラギングと、
上記の導電性金属でプラギングした多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の両端部にコーティングされた金属層とを含み、
上記の担体は電源供給部が形成されたケースに内蔵され、
上記の浄化装置は上記の担体の内部にコーティングされた光触媒層を有し、
上記の導電性金属からなるプラギングと、セラミックハニカムモノリス担体の両端部にコーティングされた金属層とが一体化して電極を形成することを特徴とするディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置。 - 上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体にプラギングされた導電性金属及び上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の両端部にコーティングされた金属層の金属は、上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の熱膨張係数と類似した特性を有する金属であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置。
- 上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体は、上記のケースに内蔵される際、絶縁体でその両端部が固定され、またその側面部は上記のケースとの緩衝作用のための緩衝マットにより支持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置。
- ディーゼルエンジンから排出されるガスを濾過するフィルターと、捕集した粒子状物質を除去し上記のフィルターを再生する電極装置を含む浄化装置を製造する方法において、
上記フィルターとして機能する、セラミック材質の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の内部に光触媒物質をコーティングする段階と、
上記の光触媒物質が内部にコーティングされた多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を構成するそれぞれの単位セルの入口側及び出口側が交互に詰まるように導電性金属でプラギングする段階と、
上記の導電性金属でプラギングした多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を導電性金属でコーティングする段階と、
上記の導電性金属が両端部に形成された多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体を熱処理することで、導電性金属からなるプラギングと、多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部にコーティングされた金属層とを一体化させて電極を形成する段階と、
上記の熱処理された多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体を、電源供給部が設けられたケースに内蔵させる段階とを含むことを特徴とするディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置の製造方法。 - 上記の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体に導電性金属でプラギングする段階及び上記の導電性金属でプラギングされた多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を導電性金属でコーティングする段階は、上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の熱膨張係数と類似した特性を有する金属でプラギング及びコーティングすることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置の製造方法。
- 上記の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体をケースに内蔵させる段階は、絶縁体で上記の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を上記のケースの内部空間に固定しつつ、その側面部を上記のケースの内壁と緩衝させるように緩衝マットで支持することからなることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置の製造方法。
- ディーゼルエンジンから排出されるガスを濾過するフィルターを用い、粒子状物質を捕集し除去する、ディーゼルエンジンからの排出ガスの浄化方法において、
上記フィルターとして、内部面が光触媒物質でコーティングされてまたディーゼルエンジンの排気ガスを濾過して粒子状物質を捕集する多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体を用い、ディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスを濾過して粒子状物質を捕集する段階と、
プラズマを発生させ、上記担体の内部面にコーティングされている光触媒を活性化する段階と、
上記活性化された光触媒の酸化力を用い上記捕集された粒子状物質を除去する段階とを含み、
上記担体は多数の単位セルで構成されており、上記単位セルの入口側及び出口側は導電性金属で交互にプラギングされていることを特徴とする排出ガスの浄化方法。 - 上記プラギングされた導電性金属は、互いに連結されて上記プラズマを発生する電極として機能することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の排出ガスの浄化方法。
- 上記プラギングされた導電性金属は、上記フィルターの両端部に金属層をコーティングすることにより、互いに連結されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の排出ガスの浄化方法。
