Abstract
Description
セラミック材質の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の内部に光触媒物質をコーティングする段階と;
上記の光触媒物質が内部にコーティングされた多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を構成するそれぞれの単位セルの入口側及び出口側が交互に詰まるように導電性金属でプラギングする段階と;
上記の導電性金属でプラギングした多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を導電性金属でコーティングする段階と;
上記の多孔性ハニカムモノリス担体を熱処理する段階と;
上記の熱処理された多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体を、電源供給部が設けられたケースに内蔵させる段階とを含み、
従って、上記の浄化装置は上記の担体の内部にコーティングされた光触媒層及び一体化された電極を含むことを特徴とする光触媒層が内部にコーティングされてまた電極が一体型に構成されたディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置の製造方法を提供する。

Claims (6)
- ディーゼルエンジンから排出されるガスを濾過するフィルターと、捕集された粒子状物質を除去し上記のフィルターを再生する電極装置を含む浄化装置において、
内部面が光触媒物質でコーティングされてまたディーゼルエンジンの排気ガスを濾過して粒子状物質を捕集する多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体と;
上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体を構成するそれぞれの単位セルの入口側及び出口側に交互に設けた導電性金属からなるプラギングと;
上記の導電性金属でプラギングした多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の両端部にコーティングされた金属層とを含み、
上記の担体は電源供給部が形成されたケースに内蔵され、また上記の浄化装置は上記の担体の内部にコーティングされた光触媒層及び一体化された電極を有するディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置。 - 上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体にプラギングされた導電性金属及び上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の両端部にコーティングされた金属層の金属は、上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の熱膨脹特性と類似した特性を有する金属であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄化装置。
- 上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体は、上記のケースに内蔵される際、絶縁体でその両端部が固定され、またその側面部は上記のケースとの緩衝作用のための緩衝マットにより支持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の浄化装置。
- ディーゼルエンジンから排出されるガスを濾過するフィルターと、捕集した粒子状物質を除去し上記のフィルターを再生する電極装置を含む浄化装置を製造する方法において、
セラミック材質の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の内部に光触媒物質をコーティングする段階と;
上記の光触媒物質が内部にコーティングされた多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を構成するそれぞれの単位セルの入口側及び出口側が交互に詰まるように導電性金属でプラギングする段階と;
上記の導電性金属でプラギングした多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を導電性金属でコーティングする段階と;
上記の多孔性ハニカムモノリス担体を熱処理する段階と;
上記の熱処理された多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体を、電源供給部が設けられたケースに内蔵させる段階とを含み、
上記の浄化装置は上記の担体の内部にコーティングされた光触媒層及び一体化された電極を有するディーゼルエンジンの排出ガスの浄化装置の製造方法。 - 上記の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体に導電性金属でプラギングする段階及び上記の導電性金属でプラギングされた多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を導電性金属でコーティングする段階は、上記の多孔性のセラミックハニカムモノリス担体の熱膨脹特性と類似した特性を有する金属でプラギング及びコーティングすることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の製造方法。
- 上記の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体をケースに内蔵させる段階は、絶縁体で上記の多孔性のハニカムモノリス担体の両端部を上記のケースの内部空間に固定しつつ、その側面部を上記のケースの内壁と緩衝させるように緩衝マットで支持することからなることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の製造方法。
