Description
図3は本発明による温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置を概略的に示す平面図である。本発明による温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置は、同図に示すように、両基板間に液晶が注入される液晶パネル30と、前記液晶パネル30の外側に位置し、前記液晶パネル30を駆動させるための駆動部31とからなる。

Claims (6)
- ゲートバス線とデータバス線との交差点にスイッチング素子として機能するTFTがそれぞれ形成され、前記TFTが形成された領域の外側部に温度感知部が形成されている第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板と対向しており、ヒータ用共通電極、BM(Black Matrix)、カラーフィルター層及び共通電極が前記第1基板に対向して形成されている第2の基板と、
前記第1の基板の外側に形成されている共通電圧配線と、
前記第2の基板の共通電極と前記第1の基板の共通電圧配線との間に形成されている導電層と、
前記第1の基板の外側に形成されているヒータ用共通電圧配線と、
前記第1の基板のヒータ用共通電圧配線と前記第2の基板のヒータ用共通電極との間に形成されているヒータ用導電層と、
を含むことを特徴とする温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置。 - 前記温度感知部は、温度検出トランジスタを含んで形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置。
- 前記温度感知部は、
ゲート電圧と第1のデータ信号を入力され、温度に伴う第2のデータ信号を出力する温度検出トランジスタと、
前記温度検出トランジスタから出力された第2のデータ信号を入力され、その変化した信号の電流値を検出する電流検出回路部と、
前記電流検出回路部で検出された電流値から温度を算出し、この算出した温度を参照して、前記ヒータ用共通電極に印加される電流を制御する制御部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置。 - 前記ヒータ用共通電極は透明導電膜で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置。
- 前記透明導電膜はITO、IZO、ITZOからなる群より選択された材料で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置。
- 前記ヒータ用導電層は銀で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度維持機能付きの液晶表示装置。
