Description
Celgard(登録商標)EZ2090 Zシリーズポリプロピレン(PP)微多孔質膜を、15g/m2の基本重量を有する不織ポリプロピレン(PP)布に、ダイヤモンド対角表面パターンを使用して熱的に積層した。得られた製品EZL2090を、カ氏約150度の温度、および約40psiの圧力で、仕様番号C2000に従って、Micrex(登録商標)Corporationのマイクロクレープ加工過程を使用して、マイクロクレープ加工した。20μmの微多孔質Celgard(登録商標)EZ2090への130μmの不織PP布の83μmのEZL2090複合体のマイクロクレープ加工は、44g/m2の基本重量を有する263μmの厚さのマイクロクレープ加工された複合微多孔質膜を生成した。この本発明のマイクロクレープ加工された複合膜は、マイクロクレープ加工されていないEZL2090と比較した時、穿刺強度における約20%の増加、および破断時MD伸長における100%の増加を有した。マイクロクレープ加工された複合膜の試験試料を完全に延伸するまで伸長させ、解放した後、回復は、ほぼ100%であった。44秒/10ccの低Gurley値は、本発明のマイクロクレープ加工された複合膜の高い空気透過性を示す。
マイクロクレープ加工されたCelgard(登録商標)EZL3030の特性を表2に示す。Celgard(登録商標)EZ3030 18μmポリプロピレン(PP)微多孔質膜を、11.7g/m2の基本重量を有する106μmの不織ポリプロピレン(PP)布に、ドット表面パターンを使用して、熱的に積層した。図4に示されるマイクロクレープ加工されたEZL3030は、カ氏約150度の温度、および約40psiの圧力で、仕様番号C2000に従って、Micrex(登録商標)Corporationのマイクロクレープ加工過程を使用して、調製した。本発明のマイクロクレープ加工されたEZL3030は、159μmの厚さであり、複合層の穿刺強度と比較した時、穿刺強度における約30%の増加を有した。マイクロクレープ加工されたEZL3090に対して観察されるゼロGurley値は、非常に高い空気透過性を示す。加えて、穿刺強度試験中に測定される荷重時%歪みにおける60%の増加が観察され、マイクロクレープ加工された膜に対する荷重下の拡張性または伸縮における増加を示す。
Gurleyは、ASTM D−726方法によって測定され、Gurley Densometer Model 4120透過性試験器を使用して測定される気体透過性試験である。ASTM Gurleyは、12.2インチの水の定圧で、10ccの空気が1平方インチのフィルムを通過するために必要とされる秒単位の時間である。

- 前記膜は、防水性、通気性、大幅に増強された有用および用途の範囲、苛酷な反復使用に耐えるための増加された機械的強度、着用者の快適性を増強するかもしくはねじりおよび屈曲への順応性を改善するための伸縮および回復度、改善された手触りもしくはドレープ、の少なくとも1つの特性を有する請求項1に記載の複合膜。
