Abstract
Description
低温ポリマーは多くの異なる形状に成形できるが、高温ポリマーは複雑な形状に成形する上でいくつか問題が生じている。問題は、例えば押出ブロー成形を含む種々の成形工程における高温ポリマー操作で生じている。
本開示の組成物に使用するため選択される直鎖状ポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーは、種々の要因に応じて異なる。例えば、一般に直鎖状ポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーは、成形工程、例えばブロー成形工程に適合し、かつ当該組成物に含まれる他の成分に適合したものを選択すべきである。一般に、例えば、その直鎖状ポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーは、約20Pa.s〜約500Pa.s(約200ポアズ〜約5,000ポアズ)の溶融粘度を有することができる。本明細書において、前記直鎖状ポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーの溶融粘度は、ASTM試験第1238−70号に基づいて316℃および1200s−1で決定される。

式中、R3は、アミノ基、例えばNH2または炭素原子が約1〜約10個のアミノアルキル、例えばアミノメチル、アミノエチル、アミノプロピル、アミノブチルなどであり、R4は、原子が約1〜約10個のアルコキシ基、例えばメトキシ基、エトキシ基、プロポキシ基などである。また、前記アミノシランは、式R5−Si−(R6)3のものであることが好ましく、式中、R5は、炭素原子が約2個〜約10個のアルケン、例えばエチレン、プロピレン、ブチレンなどと、炭素原子が約2個〜約10個のアルキン、例えばエチン、プロピン、ブチンなどとから成る群から選択され、R6は炭素原子が約1個〜約10個のアルコキシ基、例えばメトキシ基、エトキシ基、プロポキシ基などである。前記アミノシランは、式R1−Si−(R2)3、R3−Si−(R4)3、およびR5−Si−(R6)3の種々の化合物の混合物とできる。
Claims (14)
- エンジンとの間で流体を搬送するエンジン導管であって、
中空の通路を取り囲む壁を有する一体成形の管状部材を有し、前記管状部材はポリマー組成物から形成され、前記ポリマー組成物はポリフェニレンスルフィドを有し、前記ポリフェニレンスルフィドは、前記ポリマー組成物中に少なくとも約40重量%の量で存在し、
前記管状部材は、少なくとも2つの角変位により分離された少なくとも3つの直線的なセクションを含む3次元構成を有し、第1の角変位は、第1の平面内にあるとき約60°〜約120°であり、第2の角変位も約60°〜約120°であり、前記第1の平面と交差する第2の平面内に前記第2の角変位が含まれるように位置付けされている、エンジン導管。 - 請求項1記載のエンジン導管において、前記管状部材は、前記第1の角変位を画成する湾曲したセクションを含み、前記湾曲したセクションは、前記第1の角変位と異なる平面内の第3の角変位も画成する、エンジン導管。
- 請求項1記載のエンジン導管において、前記管状部材は少なくとも3つの角変位を含み、前記第3の角変位も約60°〜約120°である、エンジン導管。
- 請求項1記載のエンジン導管において、前記壁は実質的に均一な壁厚を有し、当該壁厚の変化は50%を超えない、エンジン導管。
- 請求項1記載のエンジン導管において、前記ポリマー組成物は、前記熱可塑性ポリマーの融点を15℃超える温度において、当該ポリマー組成物がひずみ100%で約350kPa〜約550kPaの公称応力を呈するように、比較的高い溶融強度を有する、エンジン導管。
- 請求項3記載のエンジン導管において、前記管状部材は、少なくとも4つの角変位を含む、エンジン導管。
- 請求項1記載のエンジン導管において、前記ポリマー組成物は、補強剤をさらに有する、エンジン導管。
- 請求項7記載のエンジン導管において、前記補強剤は充填剤を有する、エンジン導管。
- 請求項7記載のエンジン導管において、前記補強剤は繊維を有する、エンジン導管。
- 請求項1記載のエンジン導管において、前記第1の角変位および前記第2の角変位は、約80°〜約100°である、エンジン導管。
- 請求項3記載のエンジン導管において、前記第1の角変位、前記第2の角変位、および第3の角変位は、すべて約80°〜約100°である、エンジン導管。
- 請求項1記載のエンジン導管に連結されたエンジン。
- 中空の通路を取り囲む壁を有する一体成形の管状部材であって、前記管状部材はポリマー組成物から形成され、前記ポリマー組成物はポリフェニレンスルフィドを有し、前記ポリフェニレンスルフィドは、前記ポリマー組成物中に少なくとも約40重量%の量で存在し、前記管状部材は、少なくとも3つの角変位により分離された少なくとも4つの直線的なセクションを含む3次元構成を有し、第1の角変位は約60°〜約120°で第1の平面内にあり、第2の角変位も約60°〜約120°で第2の平面内にあり、第3の角変位も約60°〜約120°で第3の平面内にあり、前記第1の平面、前記第2の平面、および前記第3の平面はすべて異なり、2つの平面は残りの平面と交差する、一体成形の管状部材。
- 請求項13記載の管状部材において、前記ポリマー組成物は、前記熱可塑性ポリマーの融点を15℃超える温度において、当該ポリマー組成物がひずみ100%で約350kPa〜約550kPaの公称応力を呈するように、比較的高い溶融強度を有する、管状部材。
