Abstract
Description
本明細書で用いられる場合、次の用語の各々は、このセクションにおいて、それに関連付けられる意味を有する。
PTMSPは、Gelest, Inc.(Morrisville、ペンシルベニア州)から購入され、THFは、Mallinckrodt, Inc.(St. Louis、ミズーリ州)から購入された。どちらの試薬も、受け取ったままの状態で用いられた。
PTMSP/PAF−1組成物
PAF−1は、以前に報告された方法に従って合成した(例えば、非特許文献25、非特許文献26参照)。次いで、めのう乳鉢及び乳棒を液体窒素と共に用い、低温粉砕によって粒径を減少させた。材料は、約5、000m2/gのBET表面積を有し、1.3nmの細孔及び4nmのメソ細孔を有していた。
ガス透過率測定
CO2及びN2の透過率を、タイム−ラグ装置を用い、長期間にわたって測定した。図1に例示されるように、CO2透過率を、PTMSPだけの膜及び混合マトリックス膜について測定した。初期透過率(t=0)は、材料の特質、キャスト条件及び厚さの違いのせいで、異なっていた。PTMSPだけの膜、及びZIF−8系混合マトリックス膜では、CO2透過率の大きな低下が観察された。観察された低下(40%近く)は、PTMSPだけの膜に典型的であり、膜のガス輸送性質を経時的に安定化させる必要性を例示している。PTMSP/PAF−1膜でのCO2透過率(25,000バーラー)は、少なくとも250日にわたって(8カ月にわたって)安定であった。
PTMSP/機能化PAF−1組成物
PAF−1は、以前に報告された方法に従って合成した(例えば、非特許文献25、非特許文献26参照)。PAF−1を、以前に報告された方法に従って、表2に示されるように、機能化した(例えば、非特許文献28、非特許文献29参照)。
ガス透過率測定
H2、N2、CH4及びCO2の透過率を、タイム−ラグ装置を用い、長期間にわたって測定した。初期透過率(t=0)は、材料の特質、キャスト条件及び厚さの違いのせいで、異なっていた。図4に例示されるように、全てのガスでの透過率の大きな低下が、30日の期間にわたって、PTMSPにおいて観察された。観察された低下(30%近く)は、PTMSPだけの膜に典型的であり、膜のガス輸送性質を経時的に安定化させる必要性を実際に示している。PTMSP/機能化PAF−1ナノコンポジットのガス透過率における低下率は、30日の期間にわたって、安定化されていた。
PTMSP/ナノ粒子−修飾PAF−1組成物
PAF−1は、以前に報告された方法に従って合成され(例えば、非特許文献25、非特許文献26参照)、10−6Torrの動的(dynamic)真空下で、200℃で24時間、活性化された。
PMP/PAF−1組成物
PAF−1は、以前に報告された方法に従って合成した(例えば、非特許文献25、非特許文献26参照)。ポリ(4−メチル−2−ペンチン)(PMP)は、以前に報告された方法に従って合成した(例えば、非特許文献31参照)。この材料は、約3,700m2/gのBET表面積を有し、1.1nmのミクロ細孔及び4nmのメソ細孔を有していた。
ガス透過率測定
H2、N2、CH4及びCO2の透過率を、タイム−ラグ装置を用い、長期間にわたって測定した。初期透過率(t=0)は、材料の特質、キャスト条件及び厚さの違いのせいで、異なっていた。図10に例示されるように、PMP/機能化PAF−1膜のガス透過率は、PMPだけの膜のガス透過率より大きく、7日間にわたって安定していた。対照的に、文献データに一致して、PMPだけの膜は、物理的エージングのせいで、透過率の時間依存性低下を示した。
PTMSP/ナノ粒子−修飾PAF−1組成物
PAF−1は、実施例1の通りに合成した。C60ナノ粒子は、C60ナノ粒子を、新たに蒸留した乾燥トルエンに溶かすことによって精製し、その後、フィルター・カニューレ・スティック(cannula stick)を用い濾過し、溶媒を減圧下で除去して、精製されたC60粒子を得た。リチウム化−C60ナノ粒子は、以前に報告された方法に従って合成した(例えば、非特許文献32参照)。
ガス透過率測定
H2、N2、CH4及びCO2の透過率を、タイム−ラグ装置を用い、7日間にわたって測定した。初期透過率(t=0)は、材料の特質、キャスト条件及び厚さの違いのせいで、異なっていた。図11に例示されるように、全てのガスの透過率の大きな増加(無垢の(コントロール)PTMSPの膜に比較した場合)が、PTMSP/PAF−1−C60及びPTMSP/PAF−1−Li−C60混合マトリックス膜において、この混合マトリックス組成物によりもたらさせる総合的多孔度の増加の結果として、観察された。
PIM/PAF−1組成物
PIM−1は、高温手法を用い、合成した。5,5’6,6’−テトラヒドロキシ−3,3,3’,3’−テトラメチルスピロビシンダン(TTSBI)、K2CO3、DMAcは、全て、使用前に精製した。1gのTTSBI、1.702gのTFB、及び1.797gのK2CO3を、100mLの丸底フラスコに入れ、真空下で100℃で乾燥し、アルゴンで、少なくとも3回、フラッシュした。予め乾燥したモノマーを含有する丸底フラスコに、20mLの脱水DMAc及び10mLの脱水トルエンを注いだ。混合物を160℃で1時間撹拌した。黄色の溶液を、アルゴン流の下で、さらに40分間、撹拌した。次いで、この黄色の粘稠溶液を、室温でメタノール溶液に注いで、蛍光性黄色ポリマー糸を形成させた。次に、この溶液を濾過し、沈殿を乾燥した。次いで、黄色ポリマー糸をクロロホルムに再溶解し、メタノールで再沈した。最終の黄色生成物を、脱イオン水中、24時間還流して、残留K2CO3塩を除去した。
乾燥PAF−1粉末と、先に合成したPIM−1とを、PIM−1の重量に対して10wt%のPAF−1含有量となるように混合し、混合物に9.67gのクロロホルムを加えた。この溶液を周囲条件で24時間撹拌した。周囲条件での溶液キャストにより、約30μmの厚さの膜を形成した。膜は、1回のガス透過率測定の前に、40℃で24時間、真空オーブンで乾燥した。膜の密度は、ヘリウム・ピクノメータを用い、測定した。

- 少なくとも0.1の自由体積分率を有するポリマーと、多孔質粒子とを含む混合マトリックス組成物。
- 前記ポリマーが、固有ミクロ多孔性ポリマー(PIM)、熱再配置(TR)ポリマー、多分岐ポリマー、置換ポリアセチレン及びこれらの組合せから選択される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリマーが、ポリ(1−(トリメチルシリル)−1−プロピン)(PTMSP)、ポリ(1−(ジメチル−n−プロピルシリル)−1−プロピン)、ポリ(1−(ジメチル−n−ブチルシリル)−1−プロピン)、ポリ(1−フェニル−1−プロピン)ポリ(ジフェニルアセチレン)、ポリ(t−ブチルアセチレン)、ポリ(1−フェニル−2−p−トリメチルシリルフェニル−アセチレン)、ポリ(1−フェニル−2−p−ヒドロキシフェニル−アセチレン)、これらのコポリマー、及びこれらの組合せから選択される置換ポリアセチレンである、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。

- ステップ(b)が懸濁液を生じ、前記方法が、ステップ(b)と(c)の間に追加のステップをさらに含み、該追加のステップが懸濁液を多孔質支持体に付けることを含み、その結果として、ステップ(c)において得られる前記混合マトリックス組成物が、前記多孔質支持体の少なくとも一部内に埋め込まれる、又は、前記多孔質支持体の前記表面の少なくとも一部に層として置かれる、請求項11から14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 流体混合物中のある成分の分離を実施する方法であって、
ある成分を含む流体混合物を準備するステップ;
前記流体混合物を、少なくとも0.1の自由体積分率を有するポリマーと、多孔質粒子とを含む混合マトリックス膜の1つの表面に、接触させるステップ;
前記混合マトリックス膜を横切る駆動力を加えるステップ;及び、
前記混合マトリックス膜の別の表面から、濾過された組成物を単離するステップ;
を含み、
ここで、前記濾過された組成物における前記成分の比率が、前記流体混合物中の前記成分の比率とは異なり、こうして、前記流体混合物からの前記成分の分離が実施される、方法。 - 前記ポリマーが、ポリ(1−(トリメチルシリル)−1−プロピン)(PTMSP)、ポリ(1−(ジメチル−n−プロピルシリル)−1−プロピン)、ポリ(1−(ジメチル−n−ブチルシリル)−1−プロピン)、ポリ(1−フェニル−1−プロピン)ポリ(ジフェニルアセチレン)、ポリ(t−ブチルアセチレン)、ポリ(1−フェニル−2−p−トリメチルシリルフェニル−アセチレン)、ポリ(1−フェニル−2−p−ヒドロキシフェニル−アセチレン)、これらのコポリマー、及びこれらの任意の混合物から選択される置換ポリアセチレンである、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質粒子が、PAF−1(PAF−302)、PAF−3、PAF−4、PAF−11(PAF−304)、PAF−301、PAF−303、JUC−Z1、JUC−Z2、PPN−4、PPN−5、PPN−6−SO3H、これらの塩、及びこれらの任意の混合物から選択される、多孔質芳香族構造体(PAF)粒子である、請求項16又は17に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質粒子がフラーレン及び/又はフラーライドを含み、該フラーライドが、リチウム、マグネシウム、及び/又はアルミニウム修飾フラーレンを含む、請求項16から18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記混合マトリックス膜が、多孔質支持体内に埋め込まれている、又は、多孔質支持体の表面に層として置かれている、請求項16から19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
