Abstract
【解決手段】式Iの新規な燐光四座配位白金(II)化合物を提供する。これらの化合物は、イソイミダゾール部分を含み、任意選択により、ねじれたアリール(twisted aryl)でさらに置換されていてもよい。これらの化合物はOLEDに有利に用いることができる。

Description
イソイミダゾール配位子を含む四座配位白金(II)錯体を提供する。
これらの化合物は下記式を有する。
一般に、OLEDは、アノードとカソードとの間に配置され且つそれらと電気的に接続された少なくとも1つの有機層を含む。電流が流された場合、有機層(1又は複数)にアノードは正孔を注入し、カソードは電子を注入する。注入された正孔と電子はそれぞれ反対に帯電した電極に向かって移動する。電子と正孔が同じ分子上に局在する場合、励起エネルギー状態を有する局在化された電子−正孔対である「励起子」が形成される。励起子が発光機構によって緩和するときに光が発せられる。いくつかの場合には、励起子はエキシマー又はエキシプレックス上に局在化されうる。非放射機構、例えば、熱緩和も起こりうるが、通常は好ましくないと考えられる。
及び、Baldoら,“Very high-efficiency green organic light-emitting devices based on electrophosphorescence”, Appl. Phys. Lett., vol. 75, No. 3, 4-6 (1999) (“Baldo-II”)、これらを参照により全体を援用する。燐光は、米国特許第7,279,704号明細書の第5〜6欄に、より詳細に記載されており、これを参照により援用する。
四座配位Pt(II)錯体の新規な群を提供する(図3に示すとおりである)。これらの化合物はイミダゾール部分(残基)を含んでおり、且つ、炭素環及び/又はヘテロ環(すなわち、B及びC)の間に単結合以外の連結基を有する配位子を含む。これらの化合物は、OLEDに有利に用いることができる。
有機発光デバイス中の具体的な層に有用として本明細書に記載した物質は、そのデバイス中に存在するその他の広範囲にわたる物質と組み合わせて用いることができる。例えば、本明細書に開示した発光ドーパントは、存在してもよい広い範囲のホスト、輸送層、阻止層、注入層、電極、及びその他の層と組み合わせて用いることができる。以下に記載乃至言及した物質は、本明細書に記載した化合物と組み合わせて有用でありうる物質の非制限的な例であり、当業者は組み合わせて有用でありうるその他の物質を特定するために文献を容易に参考にすることができる。
フタロシアニン又はポルフィリン誘導体;芳香族アミン誘導体;インドロカルバゾール誘導体;フルオロ炭化水素を含むポリマー;導電性ドーパントを伴うポリマー;導電性ポリマー、例えば、PEDOT/PSS;ホスホン酸及びシラン誘導体などの化合物から誘導される自己組織化モノマー;金属酸化物誘導体、例えば、MoOx;p型半導体有機化合物、例えば、1,4,5,8,9,12−ヘキサアザトリフェニレンヘキサカルボニトリル;金属錯体、及び架橋性化合物。
250mLの反応フラスコ中に、白色懸濁液を与える、DMF(120 mL)中の炭酸セシウム(29.34 g, 90 mmol)を仕込んだ。2−ヨードピリジン(6.4 ml, 60.2 mmol)、3−ヨードフェノール(13.2 g, 60.0 mmol)、及び銅粉末(0.369 g, 5.81 mmol)を添加した。これを115℃(オイル浴)で18時間撹拌した。その混合物を次にセライトを通して濾過し、ジクロロメタンで洗った。濾液を、飽和NaOH、次に10%LiCl水溶液、次に2回、水で洗った。有機層を硫酸ナトリウム上で乾燥させ、ヘキサン中50〜100%のDCMを用いてシリカゲル上でクロマトグラフィーにかけて13.54g(76%)の2−(3−ヨードフェノキシ)ピリジンを白色固体として得た。
2−ブロモ−1−(3−メトキシフェニル)エタノン(25.0 g, 109 mmol)を250mLの丸底フラスコに入れた。反応混合物を100mLのホルムアミドで希釈した。これを165℃で2.5時間撹拌した。水及び酢酸エチル(それぞれ200 mL)を次に添加し、層分離した。水層をpH12に塩基性化して、酢酸エチル(200 mL)で抽出した。一緒にあわせた有機層を硫酸ナトリウム上で乾燥させ、酢酸エチル、次にDCM中5%メタノールを用いてシリカゲル上でクロマトグラフィーにかけて、14.8g(78%)の5−(3−メトキシフェニル)−1H−イミダゾールを得た。
5−(3−メトキシフェニル)−1H−イミダゾール(9.91 g, 56.9 mmol)及び2−ヨード−1,3−ジメチルベンゼン(11.0 g, 47.4 mmol)を、150mLのガラス耐圧フラスコに入れた。ヨウ化銅(I)(0.90 g, 4.74 mmol)を添加し、その反応混合物をDMF(47 mL)で希釈した。N,N−ジメチルエタン−1,2−ジアミン(2.0 mL, 18.96 mmol)及び炭酸セシウム(30.9 g, 95 mmol)を添加し、フラスコに窒素を流し(すなわち窒素をフラッシュし)、密封し、170℃に加熱されたオイル浴中に44時間置いた。酢酸エチルを添加し、未精製混合物をシリカゲルの詰め物を通して濾過した。濾液を水で洗い、有機層を濃縮し、酢酸エチルで溶出してシリカゲル上でのクロマトグラフィーにかけて、5.2gの生成物を得た。これを、DCM中の0〜7%酢酸エチルで溶出させるシリカゲル上での再度のクロマトグラフィーにかけて、4.1gの1−(2,6−ジメチルフェニル)−4−(3−メトキシフェニル)−1H−イミダゾールを黄褐色固体として得た。
1−(2,6−ジメチルフェニル)−4−(3−メトキシフェニル)−1H−イミダゾール(4.0 g, 14.4 mmol)を250mLの丸底フラスコに入れた。ピリジン塩酸塩(14.3 g)を添加し、反応混合物をオイル浴中200℃で5時間撹拌した。その混合物を次に130℃に冷やし、飽和炭酸水素ナトリウム溶液とともに水を添加した。未精製固体を濾過し、DCM中0〜5%メタノールで溶出させるシリカゲル上でのクロマトグラフィーにかけて、2.7gの生成物を得た。この物質をエーテル及びヘキサンで浸出させ、濾過して、2.5gの3−(1−(2,6−ジメチルフェニル)−1H−イミダゾール−4−イル)フェノールを白色粉末として得た。
3−(1−(2,6−ジメチルフェニル)−1H−イミダゾール−4−イル)フェノール(2.46 g, 9.31 mmol)、2−(3−ヨードフェノキシ)ピリジン(3.04 g, 10.24 mmol)、及びヨウ化銅(I)(0.532 g, 2.79 mmol)を、250mLの丸底フラスコに入れた。その反応混合物をDMSO(100 mL)で希釈し、ピコリン酸(1.7 g, 13.96 mmol)及びリン酸カリウム(6.9 g, 32.6 mmol)を添加した。そのフラスコを脱気し、窒素で2回戻し、その反応物を105℃の内温で24時間撹拌した。加熱を取り除き、混合物を酢酸エチルで希釈し、セライトを通して濾過した。濾液を水で3回洗った。有機層を硫酸ナトリウム上で乾燥させ、ヘキサン中25〜40%酢酸エチルで溶出させるシリカゲル上でのカラムクロマトグラフィーにかけて、3.9gの2−(3−(3−(1−(2,6−ジメチルフェニル)−1H−イミダゾール−4−イル)フェノキシ)フェノキシ)ピリジンを白色泡状物として得た。
2−(3−(3−(1−(2,6−ジメチルフェニル)−1H−イミダゾール−4−イル)フェノキシ)フェノキシ)ピリジン(3.38 g, 7.80 mmol)及び四塩化白金酸カリウム(3.24 g, 7.80 mmol)を、500mLの丸底フラスコに入れた。その反応混合物を酢酸(150 mL)で希釈し、68時間加熱還流させた。反応混合物を常温まで冷やし、50mLの水を添加した。得られた固体を濾過し、水で洗った。未精製固体をDCMに溶かし、分液ロートに入れ、水で洗った。その有機層を乾燥させ、DCMで溶出させるシリカゲル上でのカラムクロマトグラフィーにかけて、黄色固体3.5gを得た。この固体をDCM/MeOHから再結晶して、2.5g(51%)の化合物1を黄色固体として得た。
Claims (20)
- 下記式を有する化合物。
L1及びL3は独立に、単結合、BR、NR、PR、O、S、Se、C=O、S=O、SO2、CRR′、SiRR′、及びGeRR′からなる群から選択され;
L2は、BR、NR、PR、O、S、Se、C=O、S=O、SO2、CRR′、SiRR′、及びGeRR′からなる群から選択され;
n1は0又は1であり;
n2は0又は1であり;
n1+n2は少なくとも1に等しく;
Z1及びZ2は独立に窒素原子又は炭素原子であり;
R1、R2、R3、及びR4は、モノ-、ジ-、トリ-、又はテトラ-置換を表すことができ;
R、R′、R1、R2、R3、R4、及びR5は独立に、水素、重水素、ハライド、アルキル、シクロアルキル、ヘテロアルキル、アリールアルキル、アルコキシ、アリールオキシ、アミノ、シリル、アルケニル、シクロアルケニル、ヘテロアルケニル、アルキニル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、アシル、カルボニル、カルボン酸、エステル、ニトリル、イソニトリル、スルファニル、スルフィニル、スルホニル、ホスフィノ、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され;
R1は任意選択によりAと縮合していてもよく;
R3は任意選択によりBと縮合していてもよく;
R4は任意選択によりCと縮合していてもよく;
R3及びR4は、任意選択により連結して環を形成していてもよく;
R3及びL2は、任意選択により連結して環を形成していてもよく;且つ、
R4及びL2は、任意選択により連結して環を形成していてもよい。 - R5が置換アリールである、請求項1に記載の化合物。
- R5が2,6−二置換アリールである、請求項1に記載の化合物。
- R5が下記式で表される、請求項1に記載の化合物。
R′1及びR′2のうちの少なくとも1つは水素でも重水素でもなく;
Dは5員又は6員の炭素環又はヘテロ環であって、任意選択によりさらにR′3で置換されていてもよく;
R′3は、水素、重水素、ハライド、アルキル、シクロアルキル、ヘテロアルキル、アリールアルキル、アルコキシ、アリールオキシ、アミノ、シリル、アルケニル、シクロアルケニル、ヘテロアルケニル、アルキニル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、アシル、カルボニル、カルボン酸、エステル、ニトリル、イソニトリル、スルファニル、スルフィニル、スルホニル、ホスフィノ、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される。 - R′1及びR′2のうちの少なくとも1つはアルキルである、請求項4に記載の化合物。
- R′1及びR′2のそれぞれがアルキルである、請求項4に記載の化合物。
- R′1及びR′2のうちの少なくとも1つは、少なくとも2つの炭素を含むアルキルである、請求項4に記載の化合物。
- R′1及びR′2のうちの少なくとも1つがアリールである、請求項4に記載の化合物。
- R′1及びR′2のそれぞれがアリールである、請求項4に記載の化合物。
- L1又はL3が、O、S、CH2、CR′2、NR′、SiR′2、又はBR′からなる群から選択され;且つ、
R′がアルキル又はアリールである、請求項1に記載の化合物。 - L2が、O、S、CH2、CR′2、NR′、及びSiR′2からなる群から選択され;
R′がアルキル又はアリールであり;且つ、
R′は任意選択によりB又はCに結合していてもよい、請求項1に記載の化合物。 - R1、R2、R3、及びR4がそれぞれ独立に、水素、重水素、アルキル、アリール、シクロアルキル、分岐アルキル、ヘテロアリール、及び縮合アリールからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の化合物。
- 第一の有機発光デバイスを含み、さらに、
アノード;
カソード;及び
