- 視感度最高色である第一色のサブ画素と第二色のサブ画素と視感度最低色である第三色のサブ画素とで構成される画素が2次元に配列された画素アレイであって、
各々の前記画素の前記第一色乃至第三色のサブ画素の回路要素は、行方向に配列され、
前記第一色のサブ画素及び前記第二色のサブ画素の発光領域は、前記行方向に対して傾斜した第1の方向に配列され、
前記第三色のサブ画素の発光領域は、前記第一色のサブ画素及び前記第二色のサブ画素の発光領域に対して、前記第1の方向に直交する第2の方向に配置され、
前記サブ画素の回路要素に接続されるデータ線は列方向に延在し、
前記第一色及び前記第二色の2色のサブ画素の回路要素に接続されるデータ線と、前記第二色及び前記第三色の2色のサブ画素の回路要素に接続されるデータ線と、前記第三色及び前記第一色の2色のサブ画素の回路要素に接続されるデータ線とが繰り返し配置される、

- 前記発光領域が有機エレクトロルミネッセンス材料を含む請求項1乃至7のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイと、前記画素アレイを駆動する回路部と、が基板上に形成された有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置を表示装置として備える、ことを特徴とする電気機器。
- 視感度最高色である第一色のサブ画素と第二色のサブ画素と視感度最低色である第三色のサブ画素とで構成される画素が2次元に配列された画素アレイの駆動方法であって、
前記第一色のサブ画素及び前記第二色のサブ画素の発光領域は、表示領域の辺に対して傾斜した第1の方向に配列され、
前記第三色のサブ画素の発光領域は、前記第一色のサブ画素及び前記第二色のサブ画素の発光領域に対して、前記第1の方向に直交する第2の方向に配置されており、
前記画素の駆動パターンを、
前記第一色のサブ画素と前記第二色のサブ画素と前記第三色のサブ画素の全てを点灯する第1パターン、
前記第一色のサブ画素と前記第二色のサブ画素とを点灯する第2パターン、
前記第一色のサブ画素と前記第三色のサブ画素とを点灯する第3パターン、
前記第二色のサブ画素と前記第三色のサブ画素とを点灯する第4パターン、
前記第一色のサブ画素を点灯する第5パターン、
前記第二色のサブ画素を点灯する第6パターン、
前記第三色のサブ画素を点灯する第7パターンに分類し、
前記表示領域に表示する画像に応じて、前記画像の境界近傍の前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向に隣接する複数の画素に対応するパターンの組み合わせを決定し、
前記複数の画素を決定したパターンの組み合わせで駆動する、
ことを特徴とする画素アレイの駆動方法。 - 前記境界近傍の前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向に隣接する2つの画素を、前記第2パターンと前記第7パターン、又は、前記第3パターンと前記第6パターン、又は、前記第4パターンと前記第5パターン、の組み合わせで駆動する、
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の画素アレイの駆動方法。 - 前記境界近傍の前記第1の方向又は前記第2の方向に隣接する3つの画素を、前記第1パターンと前記第2パターンと前記第7パターン、又は、前記第1パターンと前記第3パターンと前記第6パターン、又は、前記第1パターンと前記第4パターンと前記第5パターン、の組み合わせで駆動する、
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の画素アレイの駆動方法。 - 前記第一色はG(Green)、前記第二色はR(Red)、前記第三色はB(Blue)である、ことを特徴とする請求項10乃至12のいずれか一に記載の画素アレイの駆動方法。
