Abstract
Description
最も好ましいペルオキシドが、ジ(t−ブチル)ペルオキシド、ジ(t−アミル)ペルオキシド、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルペルオキシ)ヘキサン、tert−ブチルペルオキシ−2−エチルヘキシルカルボナート、tert−アミルペルオキシ−2−エチルヘキシルカルボナート、3,3,5,7,7−ペンタメチル−1,2,4−トリオキセパン、及び、3,6,9−トリエチル−3,6,9−トリメチル−1,4,7−トリペルオキソナンである。
ポリマーマトリックスの多孔性(これは空隙の百分率として表される)が2.5vol%〜70vol%であり、より好ましくは5vol%〜65vol%であり、最も好ましくは10vol%〜60vol%である。この多孔性はISO15901−1(2005)に従って水銀吸収により求められる。様々なそのようなマトリックスが市販されている。多孔性が大きすぎるならば、ペルオキシドが細孔からしみ出る場合がある。
65%の多孔性及び3,000ppmの水分含有量を有するポリ乳酸(PLA)を50℃の温度及び10%の相対湿度で環境ボックスにおいて5日間乾燥させた。この乾燥手順の後におけるPLAの水分含有量が1,000ppmであると分析され、このことがまた、2,000ppmの測定された重量減少によって確認された。
実施例1を、Trigonox(登録商標)101(2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルペルオキシ)ヘキサンをペルオキシドとして使用し、かつ、39wt%の濃度でPLAに負荷したことを除いて繰り返した。
65%の多孔性及び3,000ppmの水分含有量を有するポリ乳酸(PLA)を、Nautaミキサーに加え、乾燥空気の流れによるパージングを、1,000ppm未満の水分含有量が得られるまで、混合を時々行いながら、ある特定の期間にわたって行うことによって乾燥させた。最終的な乾燥PLAの水分含有量が400ppmであった。
ケーキング用シリンダー(合成、2つの半形の取り外し可能壁を有する;5cmの内径及び7cmの高さ)を、実施例1、2及び3のマスターバッチ(約36g)で満たした。マスターバッチを蓋で覆い、0.46kgの負荷をそれぞれの頭部に置いて、25kgの製造物が袋に入れられて、38×28cmの底部表面を有する段ボール箱に詰められたような圧力条件を模擬した。
Claims (13)
- 少なくとも50wt%のバイオ樹脂を含むポリマーマトリックスに分散される液状形態での1つ又はそれ以上の有機ペルオキシドを含むマスターバッチであって、前記ポリマーマトリックスが、前記マトリックスの体積に対する空隙の百分率として表される、2.5vol%〜70vol%の多孔性を有し、かつ、前記マスターバッチにおける水分濃度がマスターバッチの総重量に基づいて2000ppm以下に保たれる、マスターバッチ。
- 前記バイオ樹脂が、生物において生じるか、又は、生物によって産生されるポリマー、或いは、植物又は動物に由来するモノマー又はオリゴマーから作製されるポリマーである、請求項1に記載のマスターバッチ。
- 前記バイオ樹脂がポリ乳酸である、請求項2に記載のマスターバッチ。
- 前記1つ又はそれ以上の有機ペルオキシドのうちの少なくとも1つが、77℃以上の温度における1時間の半減期を有する有機ペルオキシドから選択される、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のマスターバッチ。
- 前記1つ又はそれ以上の有機ペルオキシドのうちの少なくとも1つが、t−ブチルペルオキシ2−エチルヘキシルカルボナート、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(tert−ブチルペルオキシ)ヘキサン、及び、下記の式:
のいずれか1つによる構造を有する環状ケトンペルオキシドからなる群から選択される、請求項4に記載のマスターバッチ。 - 前記環状ケトンペルオキシドが3,6,9−トリエチル−3,6,9−トリメチル−1,4,7−トリペルオキソナンである、請求項5に記載のマスターバッチ。
- 4wt%〜40wt%の有機ペルオキシドを含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のマスターバッチ。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスが10vol%〜65vol%の多孔性を有する、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載のマスターバッチ。
- さらに溶媒を含む、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載のマスターバッチ。
- ポリマーを改質するための、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載されるマスターバッチの使用。
- ポリ乳酸の溶融強度を改善するための、請求項10に記載の使用。
- 請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載されるマスターバッチを調製するためのプロセスであって、
(i)少なくとも50wt%のバイオ樹脂を含み、かつ、前記マトリックスの体積に対する空隙の百分率として表される、2.5vol%〜70vol%の多孔性、及び2000ppm以下の水分含有量を有するポリマーマトリックスを提供する工程、並びに
(ii)前記ポリマーマトリックスに液状形態での1つ又はそれ以上のペルオキシドを含浸する工程
を含むプロセス。 - 前記バイオ樹脂の水分含有量が1000ppm以下である、請求項12に記載のプロセス。
