Claims (8)
- 表面に弾性層を有する定着ローラと、
前記定着ローラに張架される無端状の定着ベルトと、
前記定着ベルトが張架されるとともに当該定着ベルトを加熱する熱源を有する加熱ローラと、
前記定着ベルトを介して前記定着ローラに圧接することによって当該定着ベルトとの間に圧接部を形成する加圧手段と、
前記圧接部の下流において前記定着ベルトの曲率を小さくする分離補助部材と、を有して構成され、
前記定着ローラが回転して前記定着ベルトを順方向に移動させようとする際に、当該定着ローラと当該定着ベルトとの間に生じる摩擦力が、当該定着ベルトに対して逆方向にはたらく阻害力よりも大きく設定されていることを特徴とする定着装置。 - 前記分離補助部材は、前記定着ローラの外周面よりも外側に位置するとともに、前記定着ベルトに内側から当接する平滑な当接面を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の定着装置。
- 前記阻害力は、前記分離補助部材と前記定着ベルトとの間に生じる摩擦力と、前記加熱ローラと前記定着ベルトとの間に生じる摩擦力と、を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の定着装置。
- 前記定着ローラと前記定着ベルトとの間の静止摩擦係数が、0.5以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記分離補助部材における前記定着ベルトに当接する表面が、フッ素樹脂からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜4いずれか1項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記分離補助部材には、表面にフッ素樹脂を備えた平滑シートが、前記定着ベルトに当接する表面に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5いずれか1項に記載の定着装置。
- 前記定着ベルトの内側又は外側には、当該定着ベルトに張力を付与するテンションローラが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜6いずれか1項に記載の定着装置。
- 画像形成手段と定着手段とを備えた画像形成装置であって、
前記定着手段が、請求項1〜7いずれか1項に記載された定着装置であることを特徴とする画像形成装置。
