Claims (10)
- ボンド材料内部に含まれる砥粒を含む研磨体を含む研磨物品において、前記研磨体が
− 前記研磨体の零位軸に沿って互いから離隔している複数の前方エッジであって、1つの前方エッジが一連の前方点により画定され、前記前方点の各々が前記前方点における回転方向を画定する方向ベクトルとの関係において正のベクトル成分を有する外向き法線ベクトルを有している、複数の前方エッジと;
− 前記研磨体の零位軸に沿って互いから離隔している複数の後方エッジであって、1つの後方エッジが一連の後方点により画定され、前記後方点の各々が前記後方点における回転方向を画定する方向ベクトルとの関係において負のベクトル成分を有する外向き法線ベクトルを有している、複数の後方エッジと;
− 複数の中間エッジであって、1つの中間エッジが一連の中間点により画定され、前記中間点の各々がこの中間点において前記方向ベクトルに対し垂直な外向きの中間法線ベクトルを有する、複数の中間エッジと;
− 前記零位軸に沿って配置された複数のキャビティであって、前記複数のキャビティの各キャビティが、前記複数の前方エッジの1つと前記複数の後方エッジの1つとの間に配置されている、複数のキャビティと;
− 前記複数のキャビティを充填する充填材材料と;

- − ボンド材料内部に含まれる砥粒を含む複数のアーム部分を有する研磨体を含む研磨セグメントを含む研磨物品において、前記研磨セグメントがさらに、前記複数のアーム部分の各アーム部分の間に配置されたキャビティと、前記複数のキャビティを充填する充填材材料とを含んでおり;
かつ
− 前記複数のアーム部分の各アーム部分が前方エッジと中間エッジと後方エッジを含み、前記前方エッジが一連の前方点により画定され、前記前方点の各々が前記前方点における回転方向を画定する方向ベクトルとの関係において正のベクトル成分を有する外向き法線ベクトルを有しており;前記中間エッジが一連の中間点により画定され、前記中間点の各々がこの中間点において前記方向ベクトルに対し垂直な外向きの中間法線ベクトルを有しており;かつ前記後方エッジが一連の後方点により画定され、前記後方点の各々が前記後方点における方向ベクトルとの関係において負のベクトル成分を有する外向き法線ベクトルを有しており;前記研磨体が0.7〜0.98のエッジ比を含み、前記エッジ比は、[(Lle+Lte)/(Lle+Lte+Lne)]という等式により定義され、式中Lleは前記複数の前方エッジの合計長であり、Lteは前記複数の後方エッジの合計長であり、Lneは前記複数の中間エッジの合計長であり、
− 前記充填材材料が、前記研磨体の上面から陥凹している上面を含んでおり;
かつさらに、各々のアーム部分が、前記前方エッジ上の前方点と前記後方エッジ上の後方点の間の前記回転方向を画定する円弧区画に沿って測定された切断距離を有し、前記切断距離は、1ミクロン〜500ミクロンのGsについて1000Gs以下であり、ここでGsは前記砥粒の前記平均グリットサイズである研磨物品。 - 前記充填材材料の上面が、前記研磨体の高さの95%以下の距離だけ、前記研磨体の上面から陥凹している、請求項1に記載の研磨物品。

- 前記充填材材料の上面が、前記研磨体の高さの20%以下の距離だけ、前記研磨体の上面から陥凹している、請求項1に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記充填材材料が、前記複数のキャビティの各キャビティの体積の大部分を充填している、請求項1に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記充填材材料が、無機材料、有機材料およびそれらの組合せからなる材料群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記充填材材料が有機材料を含む、請求項1に記載の研磨物品。
- 前記充填材材料がエラストマを含む、請求項1に記載の研磨物品。
