Claims (26)
- プランジャーチップを受容するようになっている第1ボアを画定する本体であって、前記第1ボアが第1ボア部分及び第2ボア部分を具備し、該第1ボア部分が、前記第1ボア内で前記プランジャーチップを画定された方向に方向付けるようになっている方向画定構造を具備する、本体と、
該本体の外面上に画定された第1整列特徴部であって、所望の位置に当該プランジャーチップレンチを整列させるようになっている第1整列特徴部と、
前記本体の外面から延在する第2整列特徴部であって、前記本体から径方向外側に延在する部材を具備する第2整列特徴部と、
前記第1ボアと連通した戻り止め機構であって、前記第1ボア内に前記プランジャーチップを解放可能に保持するようになっている、戻り止め機構と
を具備する、プランジャーチップレンチ。 - 前記第1ボア部分の方向画定構造が、前記プランジャーチップの対応する平面と協働するようになっている平面を具備する、請求項1に記載のプランジャーチップレンチ。
- 前記本体が、
把持部分であって、該把持部分内に形成された凹部を具備する把持部分と、

- 眼内に眼内レンズ(IOL)を挿入するためのシステムであって、
IOL注入装置と、プランジャーチップレンチと、プランジャーチップとを具備し、
前記IOL注入装置が、
長手方向の軸線を有する第1長手方向ボアを画定するハウジングと、
前記長手方向ボア内で移動可能なプランジャーと、
前記ハウジングの端部から延在するカートリッジホルダであって、
該カートリッジホルダの対向する側に形成されたタブと、
該カートリッジホルダの前縁に形成されたスロットと
を具備するカートリッジホルダと
を具備し、
前記プランジャーチップレンチが、前記カートリッジホルダ内に挿入可能であり、且つ、
第1ボア部分及び第2ボア部分を含む第2長手方向ボアを画定する本体と、
第1整列特徴部であって、該第1整列特徴部と前記カートリッジホルダのタブとが協働して前記第1長手方向ボアを前記第2長手方向ボアに整列させるように前記本体の外面上に画定された第1整列特徴部と、
前記本体から外側に延在する第2整列特徴部であって、該第2整列特徴部と前記スロットとが協働して前記プランジャーチップレンチを前記IOL注入装置に対して径方向に整列させるように、前記カートリッジホルダの前縁に形成された前記スロット内に受容可能な第2整列特徴部と、
前記第2長手方向ボアと連通した戻り止め機構と
を具備し、
前記プランジャーチップが、前記第2長手方向ボア内に受容可能であり、前記戻り止め機構によって前記第2長手方向ボア内に解放可能に保持され、且つ、前記IOL注入装置のプランジャーに解放可能に結合されるようになっている、
眼内に眼内レンズ(IOL)を挿入するためのシステム。 - 前記第1ボア部分が第1方向画定構造を具備し、前記プランジャーチップが第2方向画定特徴部を具備し、前記第1方向画定特徴部と前記第2方向画定特徴部とが、協働して、選択された位置において前記プランジャーチップを径方向に方向付ける、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1方向画定特徴部が第1平面であり、前記第2方向画定特徴部が第2平面であり、前記第1平面と前記第2平面とが互いに接触して前記プランジャーチップを前記第2長手方向ボア内で整列させる、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1整列特徴部が、前記本体から外側に延在する少なくとも一つの拡大部分を具備する、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記拡大部分の外側寸法が、前記拡大部分と前記タブとの間に締まり嵌めが形成されるように、前記カートリッジホルダ上に形成されたタブ間で画定される寸法よりも大きい、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2整列部分が、ギャップを画定すべく互いから横方向にオフセットしている一対の突出部を具備し、該一対の突出部によって画定される幅が、該一対の突出部と前記スロットとの間に締まり嵌めが形成されるように、前記スロットの幅よりも大きい、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記戻り止め機構が
係合部材と、
前記第1ボアに向かって前記係合部材を促すように動作可能な付勢要素であって、前記係合部材及び該付勢要素が前記第2ボア内に配置される、付勢要素と
を具備する、請求項11に記載のシステム。 - 前記プランジャーチップレンチが、さらに、前記第2長手方向ボアに対して横方向に配置され且つ該第2長手方向ボアと連通した第3ボアを具備し、前記戻り止め機構が前記第3ボア内に配置され、前記プランジャーチップが凹部を具備し、前記付勢要素が前記プランジャーチップレンチの第2長手方向ボア内の所望の場所に前記プランジャーチップを解放可能に保持するように前記係合部材を前記プランジャーチップの凹部内に促す、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記カートリッジホルダがアーチ形の形状を有する、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャーが第1結合構成要素を具備し、前記プランジャーチップが第2結合構成要素を具備し、前記第1結合構成要素と前記第2結合構成要素とが協働して前記プランジャーチップを前記プランジャーに解放可能に結合する、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記プランジャーの端部が、ボアと、該ボアの内面に形成された環状溝とを具備し、前記プランジャーチップの嵌合端部が、互いから横方向にオフセットしている一対の突起と、該突起の各々の上に形成された突出部とを具備し、前記横方向にオフセットしている一対の突起が、前記プランジャーの端部内に形成された前記ボア内に受容されると、前記一対の突起上に形成された前記突出部が前記環状溝に受容される、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- プランジャーチップをIOL注入装置のプランジャーに結合する方法であって、
プランジャーチップを前記プランジャーと一直線上に配設するステップと、
前記プランジャーを初期位置から前記プランジャーチップに向かって係合位置まで延長するステップと、
前記プランジャーと前記プランジャーチップとを互いに結合するステップと、
前記プランジャー及びプランジャーチップを前記初期位置に格納するステップと
を含む、方法。 - さらに、プランジャーチップレンチ内に前記プランジャーチップを解放可能に保持するステップを含み、
前記プランジャーチップを前記プランジャーと一直線上に配設するステップが、前記プランジャーチップが前記プランジャーに対して整列され且つ該プランジャーに対して所望の方向に位置するように、前記プランジャーチップレンチを前記IOL注入装置のマウントに結合することを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。 - 前記プランジャーを初期位置から前記プランジャーチップに向かって係合位置まで延長するステップが、前記プランジャーを前記初期位置から前記係合位置まで延長すべく前記IOL注入装置のモータを作動することを含み、
当該方法は、さらに、
前記モータの逆起電力(EMF)を利用して前記プランジャーの位置を検出するステップであって、前記逆起電力によって検出される前記プランジャーの位置が、負の位置誤差に対応する負の誤差位置と、正の位置誤差に対応する正の誤差位置との範囲内である、ステップを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。 - プランジャーチップを前記プランジャーと一直線上に配設するステップが、前記プランジャーが、前記初期位置から前記係合位置まで延長されるとき、前記負の誤差位置と前記正の誤差位置との間の全範囲内で前記プランジャーチップと接触するように、前記負の位置誤差に対応する位置に前記プランジャーチップの端部を配設することを含む、請求項24に記載の方法。
- さらに、故障状態を検出すべく前記逆起電力を監視するステップを含む、請求項25に記載の方法。
