Abstract
【解決手段】車両に搭載され、車両の走行に障害となる物体を検知する周辺物体検知装置であって、レーダで電磁波を送信し、反射してきた電磁波を受信して反射強度を取得し、このレーダで取得した反射強度を用いて所定区間における反射強度の変化量の積算値を算出し、この積算値に基づいて(特に、積算値が閾値未満の場合に)車両の走行に障害とならない下方物を判定する。

Claims (2)
- 車両に搭載され、車両の走行に障害となる物体を検知する周辺物体検知装置であって、
電磁波を送信し、反射してきた電磁波を受信して反射強度を取得するレーダと、
前記レーダで取得した所定区間における反射強度の変化量の積算値を算出し、該積算値に基づいて車両の走行に障害とならない下方物を判定する判定手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする周辺物体検知装置。 - 前記判定手段は、前記積算値が閾値未満の場合に車両の走行に障害とならない下方物と判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の周辺物体検知装置。
