Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- 超合金のワークピース(24)を溝削りする方法であって、
立方晶窒化ホウ素(CBN)層(13)で少なくとも部分的に覆われた切削インサート(12)を用いて前記ワークピース(24)を溝削りするステップと、
1つまたは複数の冷却流体の流れを、溝削り中に形成されたワークピースチップ(28)の下面に向かって方向付けるステップであって、前記1つまたは複数の冷却流体の流れは、前記切削インサート(12)内に形成された1つまたは複数のそれぞれの内部ダクト(18)を介して方向付けられ、前記内部ダクト(18)は、それぞれ1つまたは複数の開口部(26)内で前記切削インサート(12)のすくい面(16)に開口し、前記切削インサート(12)の刃先(14)と前記ワークピース(24)の間の相互作用領域(22)に向かって上向きかつ外向きに方向付けられる、ステップと
を含み、
前記1つまたは複数の冷却流体の流れは、200バールを下らない圧力で方向付けられ、その結果、前記相互作用領域(22)内に形成されたワークピースチップ(28)の長さを抑えるようになることを特徴とする方法。 - インコネルのワークピース(24)を溝削りするステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溝削りするステップは、1分あたり200メートルおよび500メートルの範囲内の切削速度で実施されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記1つまたは複数の冷却流体の流れは、前記溝削り作業中に形成されたワークピースチップ(28)の下面に、直接的かつ概ね垂直に突き当たることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溝削り作業中に形成されたワークピースチップ(28)は、1〜5ミリメートルの範囲内の一般的な長さを有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも前記すくい面(16)は、CBN層(13)で覆われ、前記1つまたは複数のダクト(18)は、前記CBN層(13)を貫通して前記すくい面(16)に開口して、前記それぞれの1つまたは複数の開口部(26)を前記すくい面(16)内に形成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記CBN層(13)は、CBN多結晶体層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記冷却流体の流れは、200バールおよび500バールの範囲内の圧力で方向付けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記切削インサートのすくい面(16)は、チップ形成構造を有さず、
前記ワークピースチップが溝削り作業中に形成されるときに、前記1つまたは複数の冷却流体の流れが前記ワークピースチップ(28)の下面に衝突することにより、前記ワークピースチップ(28)は、壊れ、前記ワークピース(24)から離れることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 超合金を溝削りするための溝削り切削インサート(12)であって、
前記切削インサート(12)の少なくとも一部分を覆う立方晶窒化ホウ素(CBN)の層(13)と、
前記切削インサート(12)内側に形成された1つまたは複数の内部ダクト(18)であって、前記切削インサート(12)の全体底部分から上向きかつ外向きに延び、前記切削インサート(12)のすくい面(16)内へと開口して1つまたは複数のそれぞれの開口部(26)を前記すくい面(16)内に形成する、内部ダクト(18)と
を備え、
前記切削インサート(12)の刃先(14)からの前記開口部(26)のそれぞれの中心の距離が、0.5ミリメートルから3ミリメートルの間の範囲であることを特徴とする溝削り切削インサート(12)。 - 前記CBN層(13)は、CBN多結晶体層を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の溝削り切削インサート(12)。
- 前記少なくとも1つの部分は、前記すくい面(16)を備え、前記1つまたは複数のダクト(18)は、前記CBN層(13)を貫通して前記すくい面(16)に開口して、前記1つまたは複数の開口部(26)を前記すくい面(16)の中にそれぞれ形成することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の溝削り切削インサート(12)。
- 前記すくい表面は、チップ形成構造を有さないことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の溝削り切削インサート(12)。
- 前記内部ダクト(18)の末端部分は、前記切削インサート(12)の側面図において、前記すくい面(16)と共に30°〜90°の間の角度を形成することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の溝削り切削インサート(12)。
- 前記切削インサートは、割付け可能であり、CBN(13)の前記層および前記1つまたは複数の内部ダクト(18)が各々に設けられた、少なくとも2つの切削部分が設けられることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の溝削り切削インサート(12)。
