Abstract

PURPOSE:To lubricate and cool a cutting edge efficiently by allowing a cooling fluid to pass a through hole of a throw away tip mounted on a tool body. CONSTITUTION:A throw away tip 9 provided with a plurality of fluid through holes 5 is mounted on a mount seat 21 at the top of nose of a tool body 20 by fixing a mounting member 24 with a screw 25 through a presser plate 26. The tip 9 has a plurality of fluid through holes 5, which is coupled to a fluid supply hole 22 provided on the shank 20 by way of a groove 23. A cutting oil fed through the supply hole 22 spouts onto a rake face side of the tip 9 through the holes 5, thus cooling and lubricating the tip efficiently.
