Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、金属リチウム基準で4.5V以上の電位を発現する正極と、負極と、リチウム塩を非水溶媒に溶解した非水電解液、とを有し、正極合剤の表面の少なくとも一部にホウ素を含む正極被覆層を有し、かつ正極被覆層中のホウ素量が正極合剤重量に対し0.0001重量%以上0.005重量%以下である。

Description
比較例として、ホウ素エトキシドを6重量%添加した電解液を用いた電池Dと、ホウ素エトキシドを添加しない電解液を用いた電池Zとを、左記以外は実施例と同様に作製した。
作製した実施例および比較例の電池各2セルを用い充放電試験を行った。
作製した実施例及び比較例の各電池の正極被覆層および負極被覆層中のホウ素量を測定した。
参考例として、その電位が金属リチウム基準で4.5V未満で動作させる正極活物質であるLiMn1/3Ni1/3Co1/3O2を用いた電池,電池M,電池N、を実施例と同様に作製した。電池Mはホウ素エトキシドを添加しない電解液を用い、電池Nはホウ素エトキシドを1重量%添加した電解液を用いた。

- 金属リチウム基準で4.5V以上の電位を発現する正極活物質と、導電剤と、結着剤と、を有する正極合剤を有する正極と、負極と、リチウム塩を非水溶媒に溶解した非水電解液、とを有するリチウムイオン二次電池であって、正極合剤の表面の少なくとも一部にホウ素を含む正極被覆層を有し、かつ正極被覆層中のホウ素量が正極合剤重量に対し0.0001重量%以上0.005重量%以下であることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 金属リチウム基準で4.5V以上の電位を発現する正極活物質と、導電剤と、結着剤と、を有する正極合剤を有する正極と、負極と、リチウム塩を非水溶媒に溶解した非水電解液、とを有するリチウムイオン二次電池であって、正極合剤の表面の少なくとも一部にホウ素を含む正極被覆層を有し、かつ正極被覆層中のホウ素量が正極合剤面積に対し0.02μg/cm2以上0.8μg/cm2以下であることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 負極活物質と、結着剤と、を有する負極合剤を有する負極で、負極合剤の表面の少なくとも一部にホウ素を含む負極被覆層を有し、かつ負極被覆層中のホウ素量が負極合剤重量に対し0.005重量%以上0.2重量%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1および請求項2記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 負極活物質と、結着剤と、を有する負極合剤を有する負極で、負極合剤の表面の少なくとも一部にホウ素を含む負極被覆層を有し、かつ負極被覆層中のホウ素量が負極合剤面積に対し0.8μg/cm2以上30μg/cm2以下であることを特徴とする請求項1および請求項2記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- リチウム塩が六フッ化リン酸リチウムであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 非水溶媒が主として環状カーボネートと鎖状カーボネートとからなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 環状カーボネートとしてエチレンカーボネートを有し、かつ鎖状カーボネートとしてジメチルカーボネートおよびメチルエチカーボネートの1種以上を有することを特徴とする請求項6記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 正極被覆層に少なくともホウフッ化物を有し、かつ負極被覆層に少なくともホウ素酸化物もしくはホウフッ化酸化物を有することを特徴とする請求項3ないし請求項7記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
