Description
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様に係る半導体装置およびその作製方法について、図1及び図2を参照して説明する。
図1に、本発明の一態様に係る半導体装置について示す。図1(A)は、半導体装置の平面図であり、図1(B)は、図1(A)における一点鎖線A1−A2及び一点鎖線B1−B2の断面に相当する。また、図1(C)は、図1(A)における領域170の等価回路に相当する。
次に、図1に示す半導体装置の作製方法について、図2を参照して説明する。なお、図2は、図1(A)の鎖線A1−A2断面に対応する。
本実施の形態では、本明細書で開示する半導体装置の一例として液晶表示装置の例を図3及び図4を用いて説明する。実施の形態1と同一部分又は同様な機能を有する部分、及び工程は、実施の形態1と同様に行うことができ、繰り返しの説明は省略する。また同じ箇所の詳細な説明は省略する。

上記実施の形態1乃至3において、トランジスタの半導体膜に用いることのできる酸化物半導体膜の一態様を、図7を用いて説明する。
実施の形態1乃至4で例示したトランジスタを用いて表示機能を有する半導体装置(表示装置ともいう)を作製することができる。また、トランジスタを含む駆動回路の一部または全体を、画素部と同じ基板上に一体形成し、システムオンパネルを形成することができる。

Claims (7)
- 第1配線と、
第2配線と、
前記第1配線及び前記第2配線の間に、前記第1配線及び前記第2配線より低電位な第3配線と、
前記第1配線と前記第3配線とは第1の半導体領域と互いに電気的に接続する第1のゲート電極と第1のソース電極を有する第1トランジスタを介して電気的に接続され、
前記第2配線と前記第3配線とは第2の半導体領域と互いに電気的に接続する第2のゲート電極と第2のソース電極を有する第2トランジスタを介して電気的に接続され、
前記第1配線、前記第2配線、前記第3配線の上方又は下方には、前記第1と第2の半導体領域が設けられ、前記第1と第2の半導体領域は連続した酸化物半導体膜に設けられていることを特徴とする半導体装置。 - 第1配線と、
第2配線と、
前記第1配線及び前記第2配線の間に、前記第1配線及び前記第2配線より低電位な第3配線と、
前記第1配線と電気的に接続されたドレイン電極、前記第3配線と電気的に接続されたゲート電極層及びソース電極層、前記第1配線、前記第2配線、前記第3配線の上方又は下方に設けられた第1の半導体領域を有する第1トランジスタと、
前記第2配線と電気的に接続されたドレイン電極層、前記第3配線と電気的に接続されたゲート電極層及びソース電極層、前記第1配線、前記第2配線、前記第3配線の上方又は下方に設けられた第2の半導体領域を有する第2トランジスタとを有し、
前記第1と第2の半導体領域は連続した酸化物半導体膜に設けられている
ことを特徴とする半導体装置。 - 請求項1又は請求項2において、前記第1の配線に電気的に接続する第3のトランジスタ及び前記第2の配線に電気的に接続する第4のトランジスタを有する
ことを特徴とする半導体装置。 - 請求項3において、第3のトランジスタと電気的に接続する第1の液晶素子及び前記第4のトランジスタと電気的に接続する第2の液晶素子を有し、
前記第3配線は容量配線である
ことを特徴とする半導体装置。 - 請求項3において、第3のトランジスタと電気的に接続する第1の発光素子及び前記第4のトランジスタと電気的に接続する第2の発光素子を有し、
前記第3配線は電源線である
ことを特徴とする半導体装置。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項において、
前記第1トランジスタ、及び前記第2トランジスタはゲート電極層と、ゲート絶縁層、酸化物半導体膜、ソース電極層及びドレイン電極層とが順に積層していることを特徴とする半導体装置。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項において、前記半導体装置はノート型のパーソナルコンピュータ、携帯情報端末、電子書籍、携帯電話、デジタルビデオカメラ、及び、テレビジョン装置から選ばれた電子機器に適用されることを特徴とする半導体装置。
