Claims (25)
- 複数の燃料電池スタックと、
前記複数の燃料電池スタックと熱伝達するように配置されるアノード排ガス酸化器(ATO)と、
前記複数の燃料電池スタックおよび前記ATOを支持するベースと、
前記ベース内に配置される少なくとも1つの熱交換器と、
を備える燃料電池スタックモジュール。 - 請求項1に記載のモジュールであって、
前記複数の燃料電池スタックは中心軸を取り囲む燃料電池スタックの環状アレーを備え、前記燃料電池スタックのそれぞれは前記中心軸と平行に延びる積み重ね方向を有し、
前記ATOは、前記燃料電池スタックの環状アレーの中央に配置される、
モジュール。 - 請求項2に記載のモジュールであって、前記ATOは前記燃料電池スタックの半径方向内側の面に晒されて、その面からカソード排出ストリームを受け取る、モジュール。
- 請求項2に記載のモジュールであって、前記環状アレーは、角度を隔てて配置される3つ以上の燃料電池スタックを備え、各スタックは四角形の断面を有する、モジュール。
- 請求項1に記載のモジュールであって、 前記燃料電池スタックは固体酸化物型燃料電池スタックを備える、モジュール。
- 請求項1に記載のモジュールであって、前記ベース上に着脱可能に配置されるケースをさらに備える、モジュール。
- 請求項6に記載のモジュールであって、前記燃料電池スタックは、前記ケース下で前記ベース上に着脱可能に配置される、モジュール。
- 請求項6に記載のモジュールであって、
前記ベースは内容積部と上面とを有するチャンバを備え、
前記ATOおよび前記複数の燃料電池スタックは前記ベースの上面上に配置され、
前記少なくとも1つの熱交換器は前記ベースの内容積部内に配置される、
モジュール。 - 請求項8に記載のモジュールであって、
前記熱交換器はマルチストリーム熱交換器を備え、
燃料注入系統が前記熱交換器の第1注入口に接続され、
空気注入系統が前記熱交換器の第2注入口に接続され、
アノード排出系統が前記熱交換器の第3注入口に接続され、
ATO排出系統が前記熱交換器の第4注入口に接続される、
モジュール。 - 請求項9に記載のモジュールであって、燃料改質器および水蒸気発生器の少なくとも一方は、前記ベースの内容積部内で前記熱交換器と物理的に一体化される、モジュール。
- 燃料電池スタックモジュールの運転方法であって、
燃料注入ストリームおよび空気注入ストリームを複数の燃料電池スタックに供給すること、
ATO燃料注入ストリームおよび前記複数の燃料電池スタックからのカソード排出ストリームを、前記複数の燃料電池スタックと熱伝達するように配置されるアノード排ガス酸化器(ATO)に供給すること、および
前記ATOからATO排出ストリームを供給して前記燃料注入ストリームおよび前記空気注入ストリームを加熱すること、
を含む、
方法。 - 請求項11に記載の方法であって、前記ATO排出ストリームと、前記複数の燃料電池スタックからのアノード排出ストリームと、前記燃料注入ストリームと、前記空気注入ストリームとをマルチストリーム熱交換器に供給して、前記ATO排出ストリームと前記アノード排出ストリームとを用いて前記燃料注入ストリームと前記空気注入ストリームとを加熱することをさらに含む、方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法であって、
前記複数の燃料電池スタックは中心軸を取り囲む燃料電池スタックの環状アレーを備え、前記燃料電池スタックのそれぞれは前記中心軸と平行に延びる積み重ね方向を有し、
前記ATOは、前記燃料電池スタックの環状アレーの中央に配置され、
前記熱交換器は、前記ATOおよび前記燃料電池スタックの環状アレーを支持するベースの内部容積部内に配置される、
方法。 - 請求項13に記載の方法であって、前記熱交換器内で前記燃料注入ストリームを改質することをさらに含む、方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法であって、水ストリームを前記熱交換器に供給すること、前記ATO排出ストリームを用いて前記水ストリームを水蒸気に気化させること、および前記水蒸気を前記燃料注入ストリームに供給することをさらに含む、請求項13の方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法であって、前記空気注入ストリームを制御することにより、前記複数の燃料電池スタックの温度および前記ATOの温度を制御することをさらに含む、方法。
- 複数の燃料電池スタックと、
アノード排ガス酸化器(ATO)と、
マルチストリーム熱交換器と、
前記熱交換器の第1注入口に接続される燃料注入系統と、
前記熱交換器の第2注入口に接続される空気注入系統と、
前記熱交換器の第3注入口に接続されるアノード排出系統と、
前記熱交換器の第4注入口に接続されるATO排出系統と、
前記熱交換器の第1排出口に接続される燃料電池スタック燃料注入口と、
前記熱交換器の第2排出口に接続される燃料電池スタック空気注入口と、
を備える燃料電池システム。 - 請求項17に記載のシステムであって、前記複数の燃料電池スタックおよび前記ATOを支持するベース、および前記ベース上に着脱可能に配置されるケースをさらに備える、システム。
- 請求項18に記載のシステムであって、
前記ベースは内容積部と上面とを有するチャンバを備え、
前記ATOおよび前記複数の燃料電池スタックは前記ベースの上面上に配置され、
前記熱交換器は前記ベースの内容積部内に配置される、
システム。 - 請求項19に記載のシステムであって、燃料改質器および水蒸気発生器の少なくとも一方は、前記ベースの内容積部内で前記熱交換器と物理的に一体化される、システム。
- 請求項17に記載のシステムであって、前記熱交換器は、低温等級材料からなる低温部、および高温等級材料からなる高温部を備える、システム。
- 燃料注入ストリームおよび空気注入ストリームを、マルチストリーム熱交換器を通して複数の燃料電池スタックに供給すること、
ATO燃料注入ストリームおよび前記複数の燃料電池スタックからのカソード排出ストリームをアノード排ガス酸化器(ATO)に供給すること、および
前記ATOからのATO排出ストリーム、および前記複数の燃料電池スタックからのアノード排出ストリームを前記マルチストリーム熱交換器に供給して、前記燃料注入ストリームおよび前記空気注入ストリームを加熱すること、
を含む燃料電池システムの運転方法。 - 請求項22に記載の方法であって、前記マルチストリーム熱交換器は、前記ATOおよび前記複数の燃料電池スタックを支持するベースの内容積部内に配置される、方法。
- 請求項23に記載の方法であって、前記マルチストリーム熱交換器内で前記燃料注入ストリームを改質することをさらに含む、方法。
- 請求項23に記載の方法であって、水ストリームを前記マルチストリーム熱交換器に供給すること、前記ATO排出ストリームを用いて前記水ストリームを水蒸気に気化させること、および前記水蒸気を前記燃料注入ストリームに供給することをさらに含む、方法。
