Abstract
Description
i)粒径約1〜約40μmかつモース硬度約9.0〜約9.5のアルミナ粒子、
ii)1種以上のアルキル硫酸塩、
iii)1種以上の増粘剤、及び
iv)水
を含有する組成物を、ガラスの表面またはガラスの表面に施されたセラミックエナメルフリットの表面に接触させることを特徴とする方法である。接触は、前記組成物をガラス又はセラミックフリットの表面に塗布装置を用いて塗布することにより行うことができる。別の実施形態においては、前記組成物は更に潤滑剤を含有する。また別の実施形態では、前記組成物は更に1種以上のエトキシ化アルコールを含有する。また別の実施形態では、前記組成物は更に1種以上の芳香剤を含有する。
シリコーンで汚れたセラミックフリットを、アルミナ含有組成物で処理及び/又は各種クリーナー、具体的には、以下に記載するように、BETACLEANTM3300ガラスクリーナー及び/又はBETACLEANTM3350ガラスクリーナーを用いて洗浄する。2分間のフラッシュオフタイムの後、BETAPRIMETM5500ガラスプライマーを塗布し、5分間のオープンタイムの後、イソシアネート官能性ポリウレタン系接着剤BETASEALTM2002LVRPを塗布する。BETACLEAN、BETAPRIME、BETASEALはいずれもダウ・ケミカル社の商標である。該プライマーは、均一な膜厚を得るために、標準的なプライマーアプリケーターを用いて、セラミックエナメルフリットの上に塗布する。プライマーアプリケーターは、Filzfabrik Fulda社製(ドイツ、フルダ)で、ポリエチレン製のボトルにフェルトが装着されており、該フエルト素材は密度0.16±0.021gcm−3、直径2.2cmの羊毛である。5分のオープンタイムの後、10mm(高さ)×10〜15mm(幅)×200mm(長さ)の接着剤ビードを塗布する。該接着剤ビードは、高さ約6mmまで圧縮する。試験片を硬化し、次の条件にさらす。(1)23℃、相対湿度(rh.)50%で7日間、(2)23℃の水中で更に7日間、および(3)カタプラズマで7日間。カタプラズマ処理では、試験片を綿布で包みこみ、該綿布の包みを10倍の水で飽和状態にし、蒸発を防止するためにアルミホイル、PEホイルで続けて包み込む。包装された試験片は、70℃で7日間、−20℃で16時間、環境温度においてさらしてから、包装を解いて23℃で2時間保存した。
接着性能を評価するため、上記(1)、(2)、(3)の条件に試験片をさらした後、クイックナイフ試験を行う。クイックナイフ試験では、接着剤ビードの縁端を基板と平行に約10mm切り取って、90度の角度で引き剥がす。約10mmごとに、剥がした接着剤ビードは基板までナイフで切りこみ、剥離を続ける。剥がした試験片は、凝集破壊の割合に従って評価する。凝集破壊80%以上は、ガラス工事に十分であると見なす。
Claims (23)
- i)粒径約1〜約40μmかつモース硬度約9.0〜約9.5のアルミナ粒子、
ii)1種以上のアルキル硫酸塩、
iii)1種以上の増粘剤、及び
iv)水
を含有する組成物を、ガラス表面又はガラス表面に施されたセラミックエナメルフリットに接触させることを含む方法。 - 前記組成物を、塗布装置を用いて前記セラミックフリットの表面に塗布することにより前記接触を行う、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記塗布装置が糸屑のでない布である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が、
i)アルミナ粒子約10〜約80質量%、
ii)1種以上のアルキル硫酸塩約0.1〜約5質量%、
iii)1種以上の増粘剤約1〜約10質量%、及び
iv)水約15〜約80質量%
を含有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記組成物が更に潤滑剤を含有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤が約0〜約25質量%含まれる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤が鉱油である、請求項6または7に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が更に1種以上のエトキシ化アルコールを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記1種以上のエトキシ化アルコールが約0〜約0.1質量%含まれる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が更に1種以上の芳香剤を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記1種以上の芳香剤が約0〜約0.1質量%含まれる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記芳香剤がオレンジ芳香剤である、請求項10または11に記載の方法。
- 前記1種以上の増粘剤がセルロース、セルロース誘導体、粘土又はアクリル系ポリマーを含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記1種以上の増粘剤が1種以上のヒドロキシルアルキルセルロースを含有する、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が更に前記セラミックフリットの表面洗浄工程を含む、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記クリーナーが水とアルコールの混合物である、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記洗浄工程を、アルミナ粒子含有組成物を塗布した後に行う、請求項14または15に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、アルミナ粒子含有組成物を塗布した後、ガラスプライマーを前記セラミックフリットの表面に塗布することを更に含む、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、アルミナ粒子含有組成物の塗布と洗浄工程の後、更にガラスプライマーを前記セラミックフリットの表面に塗布することを更に含む、請求項15〜17のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、接着剤を前記ガラスのセラミックフリット表面に塗布し、前記接着剤が前記ガラスと第二の基板の間に挟まれるように、前記ガラスを第二の基板に接触させることを更に含む、請求項1〜19のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第二の基板が窓枠のフランジである、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 第二の基板が自動車の窓のフランジである、請求項21に記載の方法。
- a)窓枠から古い窓を取り外し、
b)取り換え用ガラス窓の表面に施されたセラミックエナメルフリットの表面に、
i)粒径約1〜約40μmかつモース硬度約9.0〜約9.5のアルミナ粒子、
ii)1種以上のアルキル硫酸塩、
iii)1種以上の増粘剤、及び
iv)水
を含有する、組成物を塗布し、
c)所望により前記セラミックフリットの表面を洗浄剤を用いて洗浄し、
d)所望により前記セラミックフリットの表面にプライマーを塗布し、
e)接着剤ビードを前記セラミックフリット周縁部のガラス窓に塗布し、
f)前記窓枠のフランジに残留している古い接着剤に活性剤を塗布し、
g)前記接着剤が前記窓とフランジの間に挟まれ、かつ前記窓と窓枠の間でシールを形成するように前記窓を窓枠に接触させる、構造体の窓を交換する方法。
