Abstract
【解決手段】表面更新領域内に、スクリュの軸周りのディスク相互間のずれ角度である位相角度Eが0°<E<90°で配列された複数のディスク10を備えた少なくとも1つの表面更新性スクリュセグメント9を有し、表面更新性スクリュセグメント9は、各ディスク10がスクリュの軸方向に間隔を空けて配置されるように各ディスク10の間に空隙部11を有する溶融混練脱揮押出機。

(Screw−1)
図3に示すScrew−1は、脱揮領域16に本発明の表面更新性スクリュセグメント9を用いない一般的なスクリュ構成であり、下流側への輸送能力が高いスクリュセグメント(FF:Forward Full−flight screw)のみで構成されている。
(Screw−2)
図4に示すScrew−2は、脱揮領域16に本発明の表面更新性スクリュセグメント9を備えたスクリュ構成である。Screw−2は、上流側シール部17aの混練部17a2のすぐ下流側の表面更新領域18に、螺旋角度θ=0°、位相角度E=45°とした表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(FK)を配置している。図8にScrew−2で用いた表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(FK)を示す。図8(a)は表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(FK)の側面図であり、図8(b)は図8(a)に示すA−A線方向の表面更新性スクリュセグメントの断面図である。
(Screw−3)
図5に示すScrew−3は、脱揮領域16に本発明の表面更新性スクリュセグメント9を備えたスクリュ構成である。Screw−3は、上流側シール部17aの混練部17a2のすぐ下流側の表面更新領域18に、螺旋角度θ=11°、位相角度E=45°とした表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)を配置している。図9にScrew−3で用いた表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)を示す。図9(a)は表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)の側面図であり、図9(b)は図9(a)に示すA−A線方向の表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)の断面図である。
(Screw−4)
図6に示すScrew−4は、図9に示した表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)が混練部17a2のすぐ下流側の表面更新領域18に、1つのみ配置した構成となっている。押出機の全長は、Screw−1の構成よりも3.5Dだけ延長されたものとなっている。
(Screw−5)
図7に示すScrew−5は、図9に示した表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)を1つのみ有する点ではScrew−4と同じである。しかしながら、Screw−4が表面更新性スクリュセグメント9(TKD)が設けられた表面更新領域18が混練部17a2のすぐ下流側であるのに対し、Screw−5は、混練部17a2と表面更新領域18との間に輸送能力を有したスクリュを配置されている点で異なる。
(試験結果)
図10は、Screw−1〜Screw−5を用いて行った脱揮性能試験の結果を示すグラフである。

Claims (4)
- 加熱冷却可能なシリンダ(13)内に2本のスクリュ(14)が回転可能に挿入されており、前記スクリュ(14)は、樹脂原料の供給側である上流側から順に、前記樹脂原料が外部から供給され前記樹脂原料を充満させる上流側シール部(17a)、前記樹脂原料を脱揮する脱揮領域(16)、前記樹脂原料を充満させる下流側シール部(17b)で構成されており、前記脱揮領域(16)内に、前記樹脂原料を混練して、外気に曝されていない前記樹脂原料の内側部分を外気に曝すようにする表面更新領域(18)を有する溶融混練脱揮押出機において、
前記表面更新領域(18)内に、前記スクリュ(14)の軸周りのディスク相互間のずれ角度である位相角度Eが0°<E<90°で配列された複数のディスク(10)を備えた少なくとも1つの表面更新性スクリュセグメント(9)を有し、
前記表面更新性スクリュセグメント(9)は、前記各ディスク(10)が前記スクリュ(14)の軸方向に間隔を空けて配置されるように前記各ディスク(10)の間に空隙部(11)を有することを特徴とする溶融混練脱揮押出機。 - 前記空隙部(11)の外周面(11a)は、前記シリンダ(13)の内周面と平行である、請求項1に記載の溶融混練脱揮押出機。
- 前記ディスク(10)の先端部であるチップ部(12)における前記ディスク(10)の前面側の頂部(a)と該ディスク(10)の後面側の頂部(b)との間の角度である螺旋角度θが、前記スクリュ(14)の軸を法線とする前記ディスク(10)の断面を軸先端方向に見て前記スクリュ(14)の反回転方向に0°≦θ<90°の範囲内にある、請求項1または2に記載の溶融混練脱揮押出機。
- 前記上流側シール部(17a)は、前記樹脂原料を混練し、前記樹脂原料の温度を上昇させ、かつ樹脂シールを形成するため、混練スクリュセグメントとシールリングとを有し、前記表面更新領域(18)は、前記上流側シール部(17a)の下流側直後に配置されている、請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の溶融混練脱揮押出機。
