Abstract
シール装置を構成する磁気エンコーダの保護と感知性能の向上を図ると共に、雨水やダスト等の侵入とデフオイルの漏れを防止できる車輪用軸受装置を提供する。
【解決手段】
シール装置が、内輪10に外嵌される保持板17aと、この保持板17aに接合された磁気エンコーダ17bからなるパルサリング17と、外方部材4の端部に嵌合され、その円筒部22aにセンサ孔23が形成された芯金22と、この芯金22に接合され、内輪10の外周に摺接するラジアルリップ19aとを有するシール板21とを備え、車軸管Hに垂下した状態で装着され、センサ孔23に嵌挿されて磁気エンコーダ17bに所定の径方向すきまを介して検出センサ20が対峙されると共に、芯金22に一対のシールリップ19b、19cが接合され、これらを車軸管Hに接触させて検出センサ20の両側を密封した。

図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は、その要部拡大図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウトボード側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインボード側(図面右側)という。

Claims (6)
- 車体の下面に支持された車軸管と、
この車軸管の内方に挿通された駆動軸と、
この駆動軸と前記車軸管の開口部との間に車輪用軸受が装着され、この車輪用軸受が、内周に外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪取付フランジを一体に有するハブ輪、および内輪からなり、外周に前記外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
前記内方部材と外方部材の環状空間を密封するシール装置とを備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記シール装置のうちインボード側のシール装置が、前記内輪の外周に嵌合される環状の保持板と、この保持板の円筒部外周に設けられたエンコーダとを有するパルサリングと、
前記エンコーダの円筒部を覆い、前記外方部材の端部に嵌合され、前記内輪に摺接するるシール部材を有するシール板を備え、
前記車軸管に垂下した状態で装着され、前記エンコーダに所定の径方向すきまを介して検出センサが対峙されると共に、前記シール板と前記車軸管の間にシールリップを配設させて前記検出センサを密封したことを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記シール板が、前記外方部材の端部に嵌合される環状の芯金と、この芯金に接合され、前記内輪に摺接するリップとを有し、前記芯金に一対のシールリップが接合され、これらシールリップを前記車軸管に接触させて前記検出センサの両側を密封した請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記芯金が非磁性体の鋼板で形成されている請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記芯金の円筒部にセンサ孔が形成され、このセンサ孔の位置に前記検出センサが配設されている請求項2または3に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記センサ孔に前記検出センサが嵌挿されている請求項4に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記センサ孔が前記円筒部の周方向上部に位置する範囲に一箇所形成されている請求項4または5に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
