Abstract
Description
本発明は、リサイクル用容器の洗浄方法に関する。特に、本発明は、重金属のような苛性溶液の残留物を除去するガラス容器の洗浄方法に関する。本発明はさらに、本発明の方法で使用するためのすすぎ溶液、及び上記方法に従って洗浄された容器に関する。
食品産業及び飲料産業で使用されるジャー(広口瓶)やボトル(瓶)のようなガラス容器は、高頻度で再洗浄、再利用(リサイクル)及び/又は再使用される。かかる再利用/再使用は、局所的な区域を汚染し、且つ局所的な埋立地を非生分解性残骸でいっぱいにするガラス容器の量を低減させるという点で好適である。また、ガラス容器の再利用により、食品産業及び飲料産業は、各容器を多数回使用することによりそれらの出資において金銭を節約することが可能となる。
本発明によれば、キレート化剤0.1〜50重量%と水とを含む濃縮水性すすぎ溶液が提供され、ここでキレート化剤は、少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含む。任意に、濃縮水性すすぎ溶液は、酸0.1〜25重量%を含み得る。適切なキレート化剤としては、EDTA、EGTA、NTA、DTPA、HEIDA、IDS、MGDA、グルコン酸、2,2’−ビピリジル、ホスホン酸、複合リン酸塩、それらの混合物又はそれらの塩が挙げられ得る。適切な酸としては、酢酸、シュウ酸、リンゴ酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、酒石酸、クエン酸、アスパラギン酸、コハク酸、グルタミン酸、それらの2種以上の混合物、又はそれらの塩が挙げられる。さらに、濃縮すすぎ溶液は、緩衝液0.1〜50重量%を含み得る。一実施の形態では、濃縮水性すすぎ溶液は、キレート化剤0.1〜30重量%、酸0.1〜10重量%及び水を含む。
一実施形態では、容器を再使用及び/又は再利用する目的の容器(例えば、ガラスジャー又はガラスボトル)の洗浄方法が提供される。当該方法は、ガラス容器を、金属水酸化物を含む水性の苛性溶液に暴露させるという第1の工程を包含する。通常、水酸化ナトリウム又は水酸化カリウムのようなアルカリ金属水酸化物が使用される。水性の苛性溶液は、洗浄される容器から汚れ、かび、糖類、食品残渣等を除去するのに十分な高濃度でなくてはならない。一実施形態では、水性の苛性溶液は、金属水酸化物1〜5重量%を含んでおり、別の実施形態では、金属水酸化物2〜3重量%を含有している。水性の苛性溶液は室温で使用してもよいが、好適には、一実施形態では30℃〜80℃の範囲の温度に加熱する。使用する温度は用途の必要性に応じて様々であり、当業者により容易に選択される。例示的な温度範囲としては、30℃〜70℃、40℃又は50℃〜80℃、及び60℃〜70℃又は80℃が挙げられる。
Claims (45)
- 実質的に重金属キレート化剤と水とからなる水性すすぎ溶液であって、該キレート化剤が少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでおり、pHが少なくとも4で、かつ11以下であることを特徴とする水性すすぎ溶液。
- さらに酸を含んでいる請求項1に記載の水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記キレート化剤が、EDTA、EGTA、NTA、DTPA、HEIDA、IDS、MGDA、グルコン酸、2,2’−ビピリジル、ホスホン酸、複合リン酸塩、それらの混合物又はそれらの塩である請求項1に記載の水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記酸がモノ、ジ又はポリカルボン酸である請求項2に記載の水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記酸が、酢酸、シュウ酸、リンゴ酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、酒石酸、クエン酸、アスパラギン酸、グルタミン酸、コハク酸、それらの2種以上の混合物、又はそれらの塩である請求項2に記載の水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記酸がキレート化剤である請求項2に記載の水性すすぎ溶液。
- ガラス製品の洗浄方法であって、
ガラス容器を、金属水酸化物を含む水性苛性溶液に暴露すること;及び
該ガラス容器を、有効量の重金属キレート化剤を含むすすぎ溶液ですすぐことを含んでおり、該キレート化剤が少なくともアミン官能基、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでおり、該すすぎ溶液が少なくとも4で、かつ11以下のpHを有していることを特徴とするガラス製品の洗浄方法。 - 前記すすぎ溶液がさらに酸を含んでいる請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記金属水酸化物がアルカリ金属水酸化物である請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属水酸化物がNaOH又はKOHである請求項9に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記の水性苛性溶液が金属水酸化物1〜5重量%を含んでいる請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属水酸化物がNaOH又はKOHである請求項11に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液のpHが5〜9の範囲である請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液のpHが6〜8の範囲である請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記キレート化剤の有効量が、洗浄される前記ガラス容器の表面上に存在し、あるいは後に該表面から浸出する重金属の濃度を低減させる量である請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液中の前記キレート化剤の有効量が、該すすぎ溶液中に遊離のキレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項15に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液中の前記キレート化剤の有効量が、該すすぎ溶液中に少なくとも1ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項15に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液中の前記キレート化剤の有効量が、該すすぎ溶液中に少なくとも5ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項15に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液中の前記キレート化剤の有効量が、該すすぎ溶液中に0.5〜100ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項15に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液中の前記キレート化剤の有効量が、該すすぎ溶液中に5〜10ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項15に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液中の前記キレート化剤の有効量が0.0001〜1重量%の範囲である請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記キレート化剤が、EDTA、EGTA、NTA、DTPA、HEIDA、IDS、MGDA、グルコン酸、2,2’−ビピリジル、ホスホン酸、複合リン酸塩、それらの混合物又はそれらの塩である請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記酸がモノ、ジ又はポリカルボン酸である請求項8に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記酸が、酢酸、シュウ酸、リンゴ酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、酒石酸、クエン酸、アスパラギン酸、グルタミン酸、コハク酸、それらの2種以上の混合物、又はそれらの塩である請求項8に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記酸がキレート化剤である請求項8に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記酸が0.001〜1.0重量%の範囲の量である請求項8に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 前記すすぎ溶液がさらに緩衝液を含んでいる請求項7に記載のガラス製品の洗浄方法。
- 請求項7に記載の方法により洗浄され、且つ洗浄された容器中に少なくとも10分間貯蔵した500ppmリン酸試験溶液中に100ppb未満の重金属を示すガラス容器であって、水単独ですすいだ場合には100ppb以上の該重金属を示すことを特徴とするガラス容器。
- 前記リン酸試験溶液が20ppb未満の前記重金属を示し、前記ガラス容器を水単独ですすいだ場合には20ppb以上の前記重金属を示す請求項28に記載のガラス容器。
- 前記重金属が、鉛、ニッケル、銅、亜鉛、ヒ素、セレン、モリブデン、カドミウム、クロム、水銀又はそれらの混合物である、請求項28に記載のガラス容器。
- キレート化剤0.1〜50重量%と水とを含む濃縮水性すすぎ溶液であって、該キレート化剤が少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでいることを特徴とする濃縮水性すすぎ溶液。
- さらに酸0.1〜25重量%を含んでいる請求項31に記載の濃縮水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記キレート化剤が、EDTA、EGTA、NTA、DTPA、HEIDA、IDS、MGDA、グルコン酸、2,2’−ビピリジル、ホスホン酸、複合リン酸塩、それらの混合物又はそれらの塩である請求項31に記載の濃縮水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記酸が、酢酸、シュウ酸、リンゴ酸、マレイン酸、フマル酸、酒石酸、クエン酸、アスパラギン酸、グルタミン酸、コハク酸、それらの2種以上の混合物、又はそれらの塩である請求項32に記載の濃縮水性すすぎ溶液。
- さらに緩衝液0.1〜50重量%を含んでいる請求項32に記載の濃縮水性すすぎ溶液。
- キレート化剤0.1〜30重量%、酸0.1〜10重量%及び水を含んでおり、該キレート化剤が少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでいる請求項32に記載の濃縮水性すすぎ溶液。
- 有効量のキレート化剤と水とを含む希釈水性すすぎ溶液であって、該キレート化剤が少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでいることを特徴とする希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- さらに酸0.001〜1重量%を含んでいる請求項37に記載の希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- さらに緩衝液0.01〜1重量%を含んでいる請求項38に記載の希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記キレート化剤の有効量が、前記溶液中に少なくとも1ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項37に記載の希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記キレート化剤の有効量が、前記溶液中に少なくとも5ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項37に記載の希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記キレート化剤の有効量が、前記溶液中に0.5〜100ppmの遊離キレート化剤を供給するのに十分な量である請求項37に記載の希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- 前記キレート化剤の有効量がキレート化剤0.0001〜1重量%である請求項37に記載の希釈水性すすぎ溶液。
- 実質的に重金属キレート化剤、酸、緩衝液及び水からなる水性すすぎ溶液であって、該キレート化剤が少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでおり、pHが少なくとも4で、かつ11以下であることを特徴とする水性すすぎ溶液。
- 遊離のキレート化剤及び水を含む水性すすぎ溶液であって、該遊離のキレート化剤が少なくともアミン、カルボン酸官能基又はリン−酸素官能基を含んでいることを特徴とする水性すすぎ溶液。
