Abstract
【解決手段】ECUは、エンジンが始動すると(S1000にてYES)、触媒温度Tを検出するステップ(S1100)、触媒昇温が必要であると判断されると(S1200にてYES)、触媒外表面に接するように設けられた耐熱性の高いパワーモジュールを低効率で駆動するように指令信号を出力するステップ(S1300)と、パワーモジュールと耐熱性の低い電気部品との間に設けられた冷却水配管に冷却水を流さないように冷却系統の切換弁に閉弁指令信号を出力するステップ(S1400)とを含む、プログラムを実行する。

Description
エンジン120が始動したときに(S1000にてYES)、第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の温度Tが検出される(S1100)。検出された第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の温度Tが低温しきい値以下であるので(S1200にてYES)、第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の昇温が必要であると判断される。
エンジン120が始動したときに(S1000にてYES)、第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の温度Tが検出される(S1100)。検出された第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の温度Tが低温しきい値より高いので(S1200にてNO)、第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の昇温が必要でないと判断される。すなわち、浄化機能を十分に発現できるほどに、第1の三元触媒コンバータ1200の温度は十分に高い。
(1)何ら新たな構成を加えることなく、耐熱性の低いインバータ部品の過度の温度上昇を回避しつつ、耐熱性の高いパワーモジュールの廃熱を触媒昇温に用いて、効率的に触媒昇温を実現でき、
(2)触媒昇温を積極的に行なうときには、パワーモジュールの発熱量がより多くなるように低効率で稼動させ、これに加えて/これに代えて、冷却水をラジエーターとの間で循環させないで、パワーモジュールの発熱量を多くして、効率的に触媒を昇温させることができ、
(3)触媒昇温を積極的に行なわないとき(十分に触媒は高温であるとき)には、パワーモジュールを通常効率で稼動させ、これに加えて/これに代えて、冷却水をラジエーターとの間で循環させて、パワーモジュールおよびインバータ部品を積極的に冷却して、これらのパワーモジュールおよびインバータ部品の温度がそれぞれの耐熱温度を越えることがないようにできる。
以下、図5を参照して、本実施の形態に係る触媒昇温装置の変形例について説明する。図5は、図3の排気ガス系のみを示した図である。図5の中で図3を同じ構成については同じ参照符号を付してある。それらの機能も同じである。したがって、それらについての詳細な説明はここでは繰り返さない。
Claims (7)
- ハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置であって、前記ハイブリッド車両には触媒による排気の浄化が必要な内燃機関が搭載され、
前記内燃機関の排気を浄化する触媒浄化機構と、
前記触媒浄化機構の外表面に接するように設けられ、触媒活性温度以上の耐熱性を有するとともに通電により発熱する電気機器とを含む、ハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。 - 前記電気機器は、モータジェネレータへの電力供給を制御する機器である、請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。
- 前記電気機器は、インバータ装置であって、
前記インバータ装置は、触媒活性温度以上の耐熱性を有するとともに発熱するパワーモジュールと、前記パワーモジュールよりも耐熱性に劣る電気部品とを含み、
前記触媒浄化機構の外表面に前記パワーモジュールが接するように、前記外表面に前記電気部品が接しないように設けられる、請求項1または2に記載のハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。 - 前記触媒昇温装置は、前記パワーモジュールと前記電気部品との間に設けられた断熱部材をさらに含む、請求項3に記載のハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。
- 前記断熱部材は、放熱器に接続され冷却水が循環する冷却水配管である、請求項4に記載のハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。
- 前記触媒昇温装置は、
前記内燃機関の始動後において、前記触媒浄化機構の暖機が必要であるか否かを判断するための手段と、
前記暖機が必要であると判断されると、前記冷却水配管の冷却水が放熱器に流れないように前記冷却水配管に設けられた切換弁を制御するための手段とをさらに含む、請求項5に記載のハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。 - 前記触媒昇温装置は、
前記内燃機関の始動後において、前記触媒浄化機構の暖機が必要であるか否かを判断するための手段と、
前記暖機が必要であると判断されると、前記電気機器を低効率で作動させるように、前記電気機器を制御するための手段とをさらに含む、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のハイブリッド車両の触媒昇温装置。
