Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、ベース部10とベース部10から延びる複数のアーム部12とを有し、複数のアーム部12のうち互いに駆動振動する2つのアーム部12はそれぞれベース部10に反対の先端部22の幅t1がベース部10に接続する部分の幅t2より広い音叉型振動子を有する角速度センサおよびその製造方法である。

Claims (12)
- ベース部と前記ベース部から延びる複数のアーム部とを有する音叉型振動子を具備し、
前記複数のアーム部のうち互いに駆動振動する2つのアーム部はそれぞれ、前記ベース部に反対の先端部の幅が前記ベース部に接続する部分の幅より広いことを特徴とする角速度センサ。 - 前記先端部は前記2つのアーム部が互いに相対する側面の反対の側面側に突出していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の角速度センサ。
- 前記2つのアーム部はそれぞれ、前記先端部で段差を有することにより前記先端部の幅が前記ベース部に接続する部分の幅より広くなっていることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の角速度センサ。
- 前記2つのアーム部はそれぞれ、表面および裏面から少なくともいずれかの側面にかけて設けられた駆動電極を有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサ。
- 前記ベース部および前記複数のアーム部はLiNbO3またはLiTaO3であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサ。
- 前記複数のアーム部の長手方向を軸とする角速度を検出することを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサ。
- 前記複数のアーム部の厚み方向を軸とする角速度を検出することを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサ。
- LiNbO3またはLiTaO3である基板から短冊を切り出す工程と、
前記短冊の2組の相対する2つの側面のうちいずれか一方の前記2つの側面のそれぞれから互い違いになるように前記2つの側面の間隔の1/2以上の長さの溝部を形成する工程と、
前記2つの側面のうちいずれか一方の側面の前記溝部で、前記溝部の幅より狭い幅で前記短冊を分割する工程と、を有することを特徴とする音叉型振動子を具備する角速度センサの製造方法。 - 前記溝部を形成する工程は、一定周期で互い違いになるように前記溝部を形成する工程であることを特徴とする請求項8記載の角速度センサの製造方法。
- 前記溝部を形成する工程は、前記一方の側面の前記溝部の間隔の中心に対して、他方の側面の前記溝部が対称になるように前記溝部を形成する工程であることを特徴とする請求項8または9のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサの製造方法。
- 前記短冊を分割する工程は、前記溝部の中心で前記短冊を分割する工程であることを特徴とする請求項8から10のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサの製造方法。
- 前記溝部を形成する工程および前記短冊を分割する工程は、ダイシング加工あるいはレーザー加工により前記溝部を形成する工程および前記短冊を分割する工程であることを特徴とする請求項8から11のいずれか一項記載の角速度センサの製造方法。
