Abstract
【解決手段】架橋重合体を形成するための前駆体として、ジアクリルアマイド系化合物を含んでゲルポリマー電解液を構成する。

Description
)diacrylate;PA1、Mn=700、化学式3を参照)、ポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート(poly(ethylene glycol)dimethaacrylate)、またはこれらの混合物などであるが、これらに限定されることはない。
一般的に、前記負極集電体は、3〜500μmの厚さで製造される。この負極集電体は、当該電池に化学的変化を誘発せずに導電性を有するものであれば、特別に制限されることなく、例えば、銅、ステンレススチール、アルミニウム、ニッケル、チタン、塑性炭素、銅やステンレススチールの表面にカーボン、ニッケル、チタン、銀などで表面処理したもの、アルミニウム―カドミウム合金などが用いられる。また、正極集電体と同様に、表面に微細な凹凸を形成して負極活物質の結合力を強化させることもでき、フィルム、シート、ホイル、ネット、多孔質体、発泡体、不織布体などの多様な形態で用いられる。
(1)電極組立体を電池ケースに装着する段階と、
(2)前記架橋重合性前駆体物質、重合開始剤、電解液及び電解質塩を含む混合液を電池ケースの内部に注液する段階と、
(3)架橋重合性前駆体物質を架橋重合する段階とを含む過程によって製造される。
(4)電池を活性化する化成(formation)段階と、
(5)活性化された電池を安定化させるエージング(aging)段階とをさらに含む過程によって製造される。
リチウム塩含有非水系電解質の製造
エチレンカーボネート(EC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)及びジエチルカーボネート(DEC)を4:3:3の重量比で混合した非水系電解液溶媒にLiPF6を1Mの濃度で添加し、電解液の重量を基準にして1.5重量%のビニレンカーボネート(VC)、0.5重量%のプロピレンスルホン(PS)、重合開始剤としての2mol%のAIBN、及び2重量%の前記化学式3のエチレンジアクリルアマイドを添加して非水系電解質を製造した。
正極活物質としてLiCoO2を使用し、95.4重量%の粒径18μmのLiCoO2、1.6重量%のSuper―P(導電剤)、及び3重量%のPVDF(バインダー)組成の正極合剤を、溶剤であるNMP(N―methyl―2―pyrrolidone)に添加して正極スラリーを製造した後、アルミニウム集電体上にコーティングして正極を製造した。
負極活物質として黒鉛を使用し、約3.5重量%のPVDFと一緒にNMPに添加して負極スラリーを製造した後、銅集電体上にコーティングして負極を製造した。
上記のように製造された正極と負極との間に分離膜を介在して電極組立体を製造した。その次に、前記電極組立体を角形缶に装着した後、注液口を通して前記混合液2gを注液し、523450角形電池を製造した。この角形電池を、窒素気体に置換された60℃のオーブンで4〜12時間の間加熱して架橋重合した。
エチレンジアクリルアマイドの代わりに、前記化学式2のピペラジンジアクリルアマイドと、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート(Mn=700、Aldrich)を2重量%さらに添加した点を除けば、実施例1と同一の方法で電池を製造した。
ピペラジンジアクリルアマイドの代わりに、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレートを添加した点を除けば、実施例1と同一の方法で二次電池を製造した。
ピペラジンジアクリルアマイドを添加せずに、加熱工程を行っていない点を除けば、実施例1と同一の方法で二次電池を製造した。
上記の実施例1及び2と比較例1及び2でそれぞれ製造された各電池を1C、50mA(cut off)で4.2Vまで充電し、1C放電を3V(cut off)まで行い、常温で500サイクルを繰り返して実施した。一方、前記各電池の容量チェックは、電池製造後、常温で5日間エージングした後で行い、容量チェック直後にサイクルテストを行った。
Claims (16)
- 架橋重合体を形成するための前駆体として、ジアクリルアマイド系化合物を含む、ゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記架橋重合体が、ジアクリルアマイド系単量体及び/またはオリゴマーの架橋反応によって形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記ジアクリルアマイド系化合物が、下記の化学式1で表示される単量体またはそのオリゴマーであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
R1及びR2は、それぞれ独立的に水素、置換または非置換のC1―C6のアルキル基であり、
R1及びR2は、一緒に結合されて飽和または不飽和環構造を形成することができるものであり、
nは、0〜4の整数であり、nが0である時は直接結合を意味する。) - 前記ジアクリルアマイド系化合物が、下記の化学式2または3の単量体またはそのオリゴマーであることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記ジアクリルアマイド系化合物と重合可能な化合物をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記化合物が、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル系化合物、不飽和カルボン酸系化合物、ビニル系化合物からなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記(メタ)アクリル酸エステル系化合物が、分子内に2個以上のアクリレート基が含まれた(メタ)アクリレート系化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記(メタ)アクリレート系化合物が、ジアクリレート系化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記ジアクリレート系化合物が、下記の化学式4で表示される単量体またはそのオリゴマーであることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立的に水素、置換または非置換のC1―C4のアルキル基であり、
mは、1〜20の整数である。) - 前記(メタ)アクリル酸エステル系化合物が、ジエチレングリコールジアクリレート(diethylene glycol diacrylate;Di(EG)DA)、ジエチレングリコールジメタクリレート(diethylene glycol dimethacrylate;Di(EG)DM)、エチレングリコールジメタクリレート(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate;EGDM)、ジプロピレングリコールジアクリレート(dipropylene glycol diacrylate;Di(PG)DA)、ジプロピレングリコールジメタクリレート(dipropylene glycol dimethacrylate;Di(PG)DM)、エチレングリコールジビニルエーテル(ethylene glycol divinyl ether;EGDVE)、エトキシ化トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート(ethoxylated(6) trimethylolpropane triacrylate;ETMPTA)、ジエチレングリコールジビニルエーテル(diethylene glycol divinyl ether;Di(EG)DVE)、トリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート(triethylene glycol dimethacrylate;Tri(EG)DM)、ジペンタエリスリトールペンタアクリレート(dipentaerythritol pentaacrylate;DPentA)、トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート(trimethylolpropane triacrylate;TMPTA)、トリメチロールプロパントリメタクリレート(trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate;TMPTM)、プロポキシ化(3)トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート(propoxylated(3) trimethylolpropane triacrylate;PO(3)TMPTA)、プロポキシ化(6)トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート(propoxylated(6) trimethylopropane triacrylate;PO(6)TMPTA)、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート(poly(ethylene glycol)diacrylate;PA1)及びポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート(poly(ethylene glycol)dimethaacrylate)からなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記電解液には、重合開始剤、電解液(可塑剤)及びリチウム塩が含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 前記化合物が、電解液の全体重量を基準にして1〜10重量%含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1又は10に記載のゲルポリマー電解液。
- 請求項1乃至12の何れか一項に記載されたゲルポリマー電解液を含んで構成されてなる、電気化学素子。
- 前記電気化学素子が、二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の電気化学素子。
- 電極組立体を電池ケースに装着する段階と、架橋重合性前駆体物質、重合開始剤、電解液及びリチウム塩を含む混合液を電池ケース内部に注液して密封する段階と、架橋重合性前駆体物質を重合する段階とを含む方法で製造されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電気化学素子。
- 電池を活性化する化成(formation)段階と、活性化された電池を安定化させるエージング(aging)段階とをさらに含む方法で製造されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電気化学素子。
