Abstract
Description
簡潔に言うと、本発明の原理の好ましい実施例によれば、ビデオ画像におけるアーティファクトを減じるための技術が提案される。この方法は、ビデオ画像に随伴する補足情報を受信することにより開始される。補足情報には、ビデオ画像に付加するための快適ノイズの属性を指定する少なくとも1つのパラメータが含まれる。時間的に相関する快適ノイズが発生され、補足情報内の少なくとも1つのパラメータに従い、画像に付加される。
登録済みのユーザ・データSEIメッセージは、快適ノイズの使用を表示するのに役に立つ。このメッセージは、IDRピクチャまたは新しい快適ノイズまたはフィルム粒子のSEIメッセージが到着するまで、後続のすべての画像に適用される。快適ノイズSEIメッセージはIピクチャにのみ先行できる。ただ1つの快適ノイズSEIメッセージが或る特定のIピクチャに先行できる。Iピクチャはslice_type=7、またはnal_ref_idc=5で表示される。表1に、快適ノイズに関連するSEIメッセージの要素を記載する。
comfort_noise_flag=lは、快適ノイズが付加されることを示す。
comfort_noise_flag=0は、快適ノイズが付加されないことを示す。
comfort_noise_qp_offset_idcは、加法の快適ノイズ・レベルの計算に使用する量子化パラメータのオフセット(偏差、ずれ)を示し、値の範囲は−51〜52である。
comfort_noise_qp_weight_offset_idcは加法の快適ノイズ・レベルの計算に使用する量子化パラメータの重み(weight)のオフセットを示し、値の範囲は−6〜7である。
本発明の原理による快適ノイズの付加は、ブロック・レベルで実行される演算およびビデオ画像の画素レベルで実行される演算を伴う。
図1は、快適ノイズの付加を制御する3つのノイズ値w0、w1、wfの相対的重みの計算に8x8ブロックの輝度画素に演算を行う本発明の実施例による装置300を示す。図1の装置300は処理ブロック302を具える。処理ブロック302は、復号化したルマ画素、ピクチャQP=(pic_init_qp_minus26+26)およびcomfort_noise_qp_offset_idcおよびcomfort_noise_qp_weight_offset_idcパラメータを、快適ノイズSEIメッセージから受信する。t項は、現画像(current picture)の数(番号)を表し、快適ノイズSEIメッセージの後に続くIピクチャにおいて0にリセットされる。
スケーリング係数wqは、以下の関係で表される。
図2は、装置300(図1)から得られたノイズ値w0、w1、wfに従い1画素ずつをベースに快適ノイズを付加する装置400を例示する。下記のように、装置400は、予め貯えられた同じガウスの乱数表と原始多項式発生器を利用する。装置400は3つの異なる原始多項式均一乱数パターン発生器402、404、406を具える。SD解像度に対する画素レベルの演算は、すべての輝度画素について実行され、発生された輝度ノイズの値は、輝度画素と色度画素の両方に適用される。このような状況の下で、pic_width=PicWidthInSamplesL(H.264の勧告で定められる)の関係が適用される。HD解像度に対する画素レベルの演算は、2x2サブ‐サンプリングを使用し、画素の1/4に適用され、発生されたノイズ値は2x2画素の繰返しを使用し,すべての画素に適用される。このような状況の下で、pic_width=PicWidthInSamplesL>>1の関係が適用される。

Claims (10)
- ビデオ画像における主観的アーティファクトを減じる方法であって、
画像に付加する快適ノイズ(comfort noise)の属性を指定する少なくとも1つのパラメータを含む補足情報を受信するステップと、
時間的に相関するノイズを発生するステップと、
アーティファクトを隠すために時間的に相関するノイズを画像に付加するステップと、から成る、前記方法。 - ブロック画素の平均を獲得するステップと、
ブロック画素の平均および画像量子化パラメータを使用して、ルックアップ表にアクセスし、時間相関係数(factor)の重み(weight)を獲得し、付加されたノイズを重みづけするステップと、により、時間的に相関するノイズを発生するステップを更に含む、請求項1記載の方法。 - ルックアップ表(テーブル)にアクセスするステップに、ガウスの乱数を含むルックアップ表にアクセスするステップを更に含む、請求項2記載の方法。
- 時間的に相関するノイズを付加するステップに、時間的に相関するノイズをルマ画素またはクロマ画素に付加するステップを含む、請求項2記載の方法。
- 時間的に相関するノイズをルマ(luma:輝度)画素とクロマ(chroma:色)画素の両方に付加するステップを更に含む、請求項4記載の方法。
- ビデオ画像における主観的アーティファクトを減じる装置であって、
画像に付加する快適ノイズの属性を指定する少なくとも1つのパラメータを含む補足情報を受信する手段と、
時間的に相関するノイズを発生する手段と、
アーティファクトを隠すために、時間的に相関するノイズを画像に付加する手段と、から成る、前記装置。 - ブロック画素の平均を獲得する手段と、
ブロック画素の平均および画像量子化パラメータを使用し、ルックアップ表にアクセスして、時間相関係数の重みを獲得し、付加されたノイズを重みづけする手段と、を更に具える、請求項6記載の装置。 - ルックアップ表にガウスの乱数を含む、請求項6記載装置。
