rは、0または1である。
表Cは、一般に本発明の混合物に添加される使用可能なドーパントを示す。ドーパントは、好ましくは混合物に対して、0.1から10重量%、特に0.1から6重量%の量で添加される。
例えば本発明の混合物に、最大10重量%まで、好ましくは0.001〜8重量%、特に0.05〜5重量%で、添加することができる安定剤を下に示す。
Claims (13)
- 極性化合物の混合物に基づいた液晶媒体であって、
式Iで示される化合物の1種または2種以上を含有することを特徴とする液晶媒体。
(式中、
R1は、ハロゲン置換または無置換の1〜15個の炭素原子を有するアルキルまたはアルコキシ基を表し、但し、これらの基において1または2以上のCH2基は、O原子同士が直接結合しないことを条件として、−C≡C−、−CH=CH−、−O−、−CO−O−または−O−CO−で置換されていても良く、
Xは、F、Cl、CNまたは炭素数6までのハロゲン化アルキル基、ハロゲン化アルケニル基、ハロゲン化アルコキシ基もしくはハロゲン化アルケニルオキシ基であり、
L1およびL2は、互いに独立して、それぞれHまたはFを表す。) - 式Iの化合物中で、R1=アルケニルであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶媒体。
- さらに、一般式II、III、IV、VおよびVIからなる群より選ばれる1種または2種以上の化合物を含有する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体。
R0は、それぞれ炭素数9までのn−アルキル、オキサアルキル、アルコキシ、アルケニルオキシ、フルオロアルキルまたはアルケニルであり、
X0は、F、Cl、それぞれ炭素数6までのハロゲン化アルキル、ハロゲン化アルケニル、ハロゲン化アルケニルオキシまたはハロゲン化アルコキシであり、
Z0は、−C2F4−、−CF=CF−、−C2H4−、−(CH2)4−、−OCH2−、−CH2O−、−CF2O−または−OCF2−であり、
Y1〜Y4は、互いに独立して、それぞれHまたはFであり、
rは、0または1である。) - 式I〜VIの化合物の合計の割合が、混合物全体中で少なくとも50重量%であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の液晶媒体。
- 式Iの化合物の割合が、混合物全体中で、0.5〜40重量%であることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体の電気光学用途における使用。
- 請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載の液晶媒体を含む電気光学液晶ディスプレイ。
