Abstract
【解決手段】 一対の基板の間に液晶材料が封入された液晶表示パネルを有する液晶表示装置であって、前記一対の基板のうちの一方の基板は、表示領域の外側に配置され、かつ、前記表示領域の内側にある第1の導電層と電気的に接続されたバスラインと、絶縁層を介して前記バスラインと立体的に交差する複数本の信号線とを有し、前記バスラインは、平面でみて前記信号線と重なる交差領域の外側に開口部を有し、前記開口部は、各交差領域の両側に設けられている液晶表示装置。

なお、実施例を説明するための全図において、同一機能を有するものは、同一符号を付け、その繰り返しの説明は省略する。
図1は、液晶表示パネルを観察者側からみた模式平面図である。図2は、図1のA−A’線における模式断面図である。
図12は、従来のコモンバスラインの形状を説明するための模式平面図である。図13は、本実施例のTFT基板におけるコモンバスラインのより望ましい構成を説明するための模式平面図である。

Claims (5)
- 一対の基板の間に液晶材料が封入された液晶表示パネルを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記一対の基板のうちの一方の基板は、表示領域の外側に配置され、かつ、前記表示領域の内側にある第1の導電層と電気的に接続されたバスラインと、
絶縁層を介して前記バスラインと立体的に交差する複数本の信号線とを有し、
前記バスラインは、平面でみて前記信号線と重なる交差領域の外側に開口部を有し、
前記開口部は、各交差領域の両側に設けられていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記バスラインは、2つの隣接する前記交差領域で挟まれた領域に、該交差領域における前記信号線の延在方向に並んだ2つ以上の開口部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記バスラインは、2つの隣接する前記交差領域で挟まれた領域に、前記2つの隣接する交差領域のうちの一方の交差領域の近傍で、該交差領域における前記信号線の延在方向に並んだ2つ以上の開口部と、
前記2つの隣接する前記交差領域のうちの他方の交差領域の近傍で、該交差領域における前記信号線の延在方向に並んだ2つ以上の開口部とを有することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記バスラインを有する基板は、平面でみて前記バスラインと重なる領域に、絶縁層を介して設けられた第2の導電層を有し、
前記バスラインと前記第2の導電層とは、スルーホールで電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記バスラインを有する基板は、複数本の走査信号線と、絶縁層を介して前記複数本の走査信号線と立体的に交差する映像信号線と、2本の隣接する走査信号線および2本の隣接する映像信号線で囲まれた領域に対して配置されるTFT素子および画素電極と、対向電極とを有し、
前記第1の導電層は、前記対向電極であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
