Abstract
【解決手段】一方向に走行される帯状の基材1を位置固定の基準ローラ4と移動可能な作動ローラ7とに巻き掛けて保持させた状態で、外周面に塗布剤18が担持されて基材1の走行方向とは逆方向に回転される塗布ローラ19に接触させ、作動ローラ7を所定のタイミングで基材1から接離する方向に移動させるとともに、テンションローラ8を基材1に負荷される張力が常に一定となるように作動ローラ7の基材1に対し接離方向への移動に追従して基材1に対し接離方向に移動させるように制御する。

Claims (11)
- 帯状の基材の裏面側を互いに平行な位置に対置された固定の基準ローラと移動可能な作動ローラに巻き掛けて、前記基準ローラと作動ローラとに平行になるように塗布剤の塗工箇所を保持し、一方向に走行させるとともに、前記基準ローラと前記作動ローラとの中間箇所の前記基材に塗布剤を担持した塗布ローラを接触させて、前記基材の表面に塗布剤を転写して塗着させることにより薄膜を塗着形成し、
前記作動ローラを所定のタイミングで前記基材の裏面側より後退させる方向に移動させて前記基材を前記塗布ローラから離間させ、これに連動してテンションローラを前記基材の表面側に向かって前進させる方向に移動させて前記基材に張力を付与し、
そののち、前記作動ローラを所定のタイミングで前記基材の表面側に向かって前進する方向に移動させて前記基材を前記塗布ローラに接触させ、これに連動してテンションローラを前記基材の裏面側より後退させる方向に移動させて前記基材に付与する張力を減少させ、前記基材の表面に前記薄膜を間欠的な配置で形成し、
前記テンションローラを前記基材に負荷される張力が常に一定となるように、前記作動ローラが前記基材の裏面側よりに後退させる方向への移動に追従して、前記基材の裏面側より後退させる方向と表面側に向かって前進させる方向とに移動させるように制御することを特徴とする薄膜の間欠塗工方法。 - 帯状の基材の裏面側を互いに平行な位置に対置された固定の基準ローラと移動可能な作動ローラおよびこれら両ローラの中間位置に配置されたバックアップローラにそれぞれ巻き掛けて、前記基準ローラと作動ローラと平行になるように塗布剤の塗工箇所を保持させるとともに、前記バックアップローラにより前記基材をその表面側に配置された塗布ローラに対し所定の接触圧で押し付けて一方向に走行させ、前記基材の表面に前記塗布ローラの外周面で担持させた塗布剤を転写して薄膜を塗着形成し、
前記作動ローラを所定のタイミングで前記基材の裏面側より後退させる方向に移動させて前記基材を前記塗布ローラから離間させ、この移動に連動してテンションローラを前記基材の表面側に向かって前進させる方向に移動させて前記基材に張力を付与するとともに、前記バックアップローラを前記基材の裏面側より後退させる方向に移動させることにより、前記基材を前記塗布ローラから離間させ、
そののち、前記作動ローラを所定のタイミングで前記基材の表面側に向かって前進させる方向に移動させ、この移動に連動してテンションローラを前記基材の裏面側より後退させる方向に移動させて、前記基材に付与する張力を減少させるとともに、前記バックアップローラを前記基材の表面側に向かって前進させる方向に移動させて、前記基材を前記塗布ローラに接触させることにより、前記基材の表面に前記薄膜を間欠的な配置で形成することを特徴とする薄膜の間欠塗工方法。 - テンションローラを基材に負荷される張力が常に一定になるように、作動ローラが前記基材に対し接離方向への移動に追従して前記基材に対し接離方向に移動させるように制御するとともに、バックアップローラを前記テンションローラの作動に追従するように作動制御するようにした請求項2に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 作動ローラとテンションローラとが塗布ローラに対し基材の走行方向側に配置されている請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 塗布ローラとして、40mm〜60mmの直径を有するものを用いた請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 基準ローラと作動ローラとを各々の軸間距離が塗布ローラの直径の1.2倍以上で2.5倍以下に設定した配置で設けた請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 塗布ローラとして、多数の塗布剤溜め溝が前記塗布ローラの軸心に対し所定の角度に傾斜し、且つ互いに平行な配置で外周面全体に刻設されたものを用い、基材の走行方向とは逆方向に回転させるとともに、ドクターブレードを前記塗布ローラにおける隣接する前記塗布剤溜め溝の各間に設けられた平坦面部に定圧で押し付けて、前記塗布ローラに担持された塗布剤の余剰分を掻き落とすようにした請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 回転軸と作動ローラの支軸とを作動連結杆で相互に連結して、前記作動ローラが前記回転軸を支点とする回動軌跡に沿って移動するのに追従して、テンションローラをそれ自体の支軸が連結杆を介して連結された回転支軸を支点とする回動軌跡に沿って移動可能に設けることにより基材にその裏面側から一定の圧力を負荷して、前記基材に付与される張力を一定に保持するようにした請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 基材の表面に塗着層を間欠的な配置で塗着形成したのち、前記塗着層の塗布始端と塗布終端とをセンサで検出して、この塗着層の全体を被覆する薄膜を前記塗着層に対応する間欠的な配置で塗着形成するようにした請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 銅箔またはアルミニウム箔を基材として用い、電池用活物質層を塗着層として前記基材の表面に塗着形成し、多孔性保護膜を薄膜として前記塗着層の全表面および前記基材の一部に塗着形成するようにした請求項9に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
- 薄膜における基材の走行方向に対する終端部が、前記基材の幅方向に向け直線状で、且つ所定の膜厚よりも僅かに大きな膜厚に膨出した形状に形成した請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の薄膜の間欠塗工方法。
