【解決手段】 改質装置20は、改質部30、燃焼部60、燃焼ガス流路70、断熱部75、蒸発部80、CO浄化部90から構成されている。燃焼部60は、改質部30の内周壁内に配置され、燃焼ガス流路70は、改質部30内周壁に沿う内周流路71から改質部30外周壁の外周側に設けられた外周流路72に折り返されて配置される折り返し流路73を備えている。外周流路72は、改質部30外周壁に沿う第1流路72aと、この第1流路72aの外周に設けられた同第1流路72aと連通する第2流路72bを備え、第2流路72bの外周壁に蒸発部80を設け、この蒸発部80の外周壁にCO浄化部90を設けている。

Description
以下、本発明による改質装置の第1の実施の形態を適用した燃料電池システムについて説明する。図1はこの燃料電池システムの概要を示す概要図である。この燃料電池システムは、燃料電池10と燃料電池10に必要な水素ガスを生成して供給する改質装置20を備えている。燃料電池10の燃料極には一酸化炭素浄化部(以下、CO浄化部という。)90から改質ガスが供給され、燃料電池10の空気極には外部からの空気が供給され、燃料電池10において改質ガス中の水素ガスと空気中の酸素ガスとが反応して発電するようになっている。
次に、本発明による改質装置の第2の実施の形態を適用した燃料電池システムについて説明する。図2は第2の実施の形態にかかる燃料電池システムの概要を示す概要図である。本第2の実施の形態は、上述した第1の実施の形態と同様に、改質部、冷却部、COシフト部、燃焼部、燃焼ガス流路、断熱部、蒸発部およびCO浄化部から構成されているが、主としてCOシフト部の取り付け場所および構造が異なっている。なお、第1の実施の形態と同一の構成部材については同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。
次に、本発明による改質装置の第3の実施の形態を適用した燃料電池システムについて説明する。図3は第3の実施の形態にかかる燃料電池システムの概要を示す概要図である。本第3の実施の形態は、上述した第2の実施の形態と同様に、改質部、冷却部、COシフト部、燃焼部、燃焼ガス流路、断熱部、蒸発部およびCO浄化部から構成されているが、主としてCO浄化部の取り付け場所および構造が異なっている。なお、第2の実施の形態と同一の構成部材については同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。

前記外周流路の外周壁に前記蒸発部を設け、該蒸発部の外周壁に前記一酸化炭素低減部を設けたことを特徴とする改質装置。 - 請求項1において、前記外周流路は、前記改質部の外周壁に沿う第1流路と、該第1流路の外周に設けられた同第1流路と連通する第2流路を備え、
前記第2流路の外周壁に前記蒸発部を設け、該蒸発部の外周壁に前記一酸化炭素低減部を設けたことを特徴とする改質装置。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、互いに隣接する前記燃焼ガス流路の前記燃焼ガスと前記蒸発部の水または水蒸気は並流であることを特徴とする改質装置。
- 請求項1または請求項2において、互いに隣接する前記蒸発部の前記水または水蒸気と前記一酸化炭素低減部の改質ガスは並流であることを特徴とする改質装置。
- 請求項1または請求項2において、互いに隣接する前記燃焼ガス流路の前記燃焼ガスと前記蒸発部の水または水蒸気は向流であることを特徴とする改質装置。
- 請求項1または請求項2において、互いに隣接する前記蒸発部の前記水または水蒸気と前記一酸化炭素低減部の改質ガスは向流であることを特徴とする改質装置。
