Description
まず、本発明の第1実施形態について説明する。図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る燃料電池システムを示すブロック図である。図1に示すように、燃料電池システム1は、脱硫器2、FPS(燃料処理システム)3及び燃料電池4を備え、これらが筐体5に収容されている。この燃料電池システム1は、家庭用の電力供給源として利用されるものであり、原燃料として、液化石油ガス(LPG)が用いられる。
次に、本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。なお、本実施形態の説明では、上記第1実施形態と異なる点について主に説明する。
Claims (8)
- バーナを用いて原燃料を改質して改質ガスを生成する改質器と、
筒状を呈しその筒内に前記改質器が位置するように前記改質器と一体に設けられ、前記改質器で生成した前記改質ガスの一酸化炭素濃度を低下させるCO変成器と、
筒状を呈しその筒内に前記改質器が位置するように前記改質器に一体に設けられ、前記改質ガスの一酸化炭素を選択的に酸化させてCOを除去するCO除去器と、を備えた燃料電池システムであって、
前記CO変成器及び前記CO除去器は、前記バーナの排気ガスによって昇温可能に構成され、
前記改質器と前記CO変成器との間において前記CO変成器の内周面に隣接されつつ延びると共に、前記改質器と前記CO除去器との間において前記CO除去器の内周面に隣接されつつ延びる流路が設けられており、
前記CO変成器及び前記CO除去器は、前記流路に前記バーナの排気ガスが流通されることにより昇温されることを特徴とする燃料電池システム。 - 前記CO変成器と前記CO除去器とは、互いに同軸で且つ軸方向に並ぶように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記CO変成器の外径と前記CO除去器の外径とは、互いに等しいことを特徴とする請求項2記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記バーナの排気ガスと水との間で熱交換を行う熱交換部を有しており、
前記熱交換部における水流路の少なくとも一部は、前記CO変成器に導入される前記改質ガスと熱交換可能に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記水流路に接続され、システム始動時において前記水を前記熱交換部に流入しないようバイパスさせるバイパス流路を有することを特徴とする請求項4記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記CO変成器及び前記CO除去器の少なくとも一方を冷却する冷却手段を備え、
前記冷却手段は、前記CO変成器及び前記CO除去器の少なくとも一方を囲繞するように設けられた冷却ジャケットであることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れか一項記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記冷却手段内には、複数の区画が画設されるように仕切りが設けられており、
前記複数の区画は、前記CO変成器及び前記CO除去器の少なくとも一方における前記改質ガスの導入側部分及び導出側部分に対応する位置に、少なくとも配置されていることを特徴とする請求項6記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記冷却手段は、冷却媒体が上方側から導入されて下方側から導出されるものであって、
前記複数の区画は、上下方向に沿って並設されていると共に、液体がその表面張力で落下しないような所定の大きさの隙間を介して互いに通じていることを特徴とする請求項7記載の燃料電池システム。
