Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、(a)乾燥剤材料を、(b)(1)硬化性有機ポリマー結合剤、(2)モノマー、および(3)光開始剤を含む有機媒体に分散させることを含む厚膜ゲッタ組成物に関する。

Description
厚膜ゲッタペーストの無機組成物は、有機媒体中に分散された乾燥剤材料から構成される。ゲッタペースト用途に対して、モレキュラーシーブ(または、ゼオライト)、アルカリ土類金属酸化物、金属酸化物、硫酸塩、塩化物、臭化物など様々な乾燥剤材料を選択することができる。様々なタイプのゼオライトが、その多孔質構造の固有の性質のため、水吸収の能力の点から最良の候補物質であることが知られている。
乾燥剤材料を分散させる有機媒体は、(ポリマー、コポリマー、オリゴマー、およびその混合物を含めて)1つまたは複数の硬化性有機ポリマー結合剤、1つまたは複数の感光性モノマー、および様々な光化学物質(光開始剤)から構成され、後者の機能は、光プロセスを促進させ、モノマーの光重合を開始させることである。安定化剤、消泡剤、接着剤、当業者に知られている他のものなど追加の添加剤を、有機媒体に添加することができる。通常、一般的な有機溶媒は存在しない。
本発明の硬化性有機ポリマー結合剤は、ポリマー、コポリマー、オリゴマー、またはその混合物とすることができる。有機媒体中に存在する有機ポリマー結合剤は、アクリラート、メタクリラート、ウレタンアクリラート、エポキシアクリラート、およびそれらの混合物、ならびに他の同様なポリマー結合剤から選択することができる。
本発明の1つのモノマーまたは複数のモノマーは、アクリラートモノマー、メタクリラートモノマー、およびその混合物から選択される。
有機媒体中に存在する光開始剤は、熱的には不活性であるが、化学線で露光すると遊離基を発生するものである。典型的な光開始剤は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれるDueberらの(例えば、特許文献9参照)に開示されている。
厚膜ゲッタは、通常はガラス、低温同時焼成セラミックス(LTCC)、シリコーンなど、ガスおよび水分に対して不浸透性の基板上に付着される。基板は、ポリエステルなどの不浸透性プラスチック、例えばポリエチレンテレフタレートなど柔軟な材料のシート、あるいはプラスチックシートとその上に付着されたオプションの任意の金属性または誘電性層との組合せからなる複合材料のシートとすることもできる。一つの実施形態では、光が封入領域に入り込むことができるか、あるいは光が封入領域から基板を通り抜けて放出されるように、基板は透明(または半透明)とすることができる。
厚膜ゲッタペーストは、平均粒径2μmの乾燥剤材料(13x型モレキュラーシーブ粉末)を本件特許出願人から市販されている硬化性有機媒体と混合することによって調製した。この実験では、2種のDuPont製品5017Aおよび5018Aを使用した。表1は、20〜58%のモレキュラーシーブを含む厚膜組成物の実施例を示している。有機媒体に対する様々なレベルの乾燥剤が最適化された性能で適用された。様々な付着方法向けにペースト粘度および膜厚を調整するためには、溶媒の含有量を変更することが必要であった。
Claims (13)
- 乾燥剤材料を
(1)硬化性有機ポリマー結合剤、(2)モノマー、および(3)光開始剤を含む有機媒体に分散させて含むことを特徴とする厚膜ゲッタ組成物。 - 前記乾燥剤材料は、ゼオライト、アルカリ土類金属酸化物、金属酸化物、硫酸塩、塩化物、臭化物、およびそれらの混合物から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記硬化性有機ポリマー結合剤は、アクリラート、メタクリラート、ウレタンアクリラート、エポキシアクリラート、およびそれらの混合物を含む群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記モノマーは、アクリラートモノマー、メタクリラートモノマー、およびそれらの混合物から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記乾燥剤材料は、全組成物の10〜65重量パーセントを構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記有機媒体は、全組成物の35から90重量パーセントを構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物は、前記モノマーの光重合を開始するのに十分な時間およびエネルギーで処理されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載のゲッタ組成物を提供するステップと、
前記ゲッタ組成物を基板に塗布するステップと、
前記ゲッタ組成物および基板を処理して前記有機媒体を硬化させ、それによって硬化ゲッタ組成物が接着した基板を形成するステップを含むことを特徴とする水分制御方法。 - 前記基板はガラスであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記硬化ゲッタ組成物を囲い内に封止するステップをさらに含み、前記基板は囲いの一つの境界線であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 請求項8に記載の方法で作製された物品。
- 前記物品は水分の影響を受けやすい電子デバイスである請求項11に記載の物品。
- 前記組成物を処理して有機媒体を硬化させた請求項1に記載のゲッタ組成物を含む物品。
