Abstract
Description
切断性能の向上は継続的に求められている。
本発明の1特徴では、切断工具はそのエッジに沿って提供された複数の切断歯を備えた金属製基部を含んでいる。少なくとも1つの切断歯はその切断エッジに少なくとも1つの切込部を有している。
Claims (21)
- 切断工具であって、
金属製の基部を有しており、該基部はそのエッジに沿って提供された複数の切断歯を有しており、
少なくとも1つの該切断歯はその切断エッジに少なくとも1つの切込部を含んでいることを特徴とする切断工具。 - 少なくとも1つの切断歯は、その切断エッジに2以上の切込部を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切込部の幾何学的形状は、丸形状、V形状、方形状、長方形状あるいは楕円形状から成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切断歯は高速度鋼から成ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切断工具は単金属から成ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切込部は略0.004インチから0.020インチの幅であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切込部は切断エッジ幅の略5%から55%を占めることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切断工具は手動又は動力式弓鋸刃、帯鋸刃、往復鋸刃、ジグソー刃及びホールソー刃から成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切込部は、切断歯の内側領域に位置する軟質材が使用中に優先的に摩耗することで提供されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切断歯は少なくとも第1金属及び第2金属を含む複合体であり、該第1金属は該第2金属より軟質であり、該第1金属は該第2金属と接しており、切込部は該第1金属が使用中に優先的に摩耗することで提供されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 基部は第1エッジに第1厚を有しており、切断工具の切断エッジの内側部分に延び入り通過するテーパ状領域を基部の反対側エッジに有しており、第2金属で成る少なくとも1つのエッジ部材は基部のテーパ状エッジ状領域の表面と隣接し冶金接合部を形成することを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切込部により提供される窪部は充填材を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 充填材は衝撃吸収材であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 衝撃吸収材はエポキシ樹脂、基部金属、軟質及び硬質ハンダを含む群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項13記載の切断工具。
- 基部は、該基部のエッジ部に溶接された複数の歯を有するエッジ部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の切断工具。
- 切断歯は金属基部に電子ビーム溶接あるいはレーザ溶接されていることを特徴とする請求項15記載の切断工具。
- 切断工具であって、
そのエッジに沿って複数の切断歯を有した金属製の基部を含んでおり、
少なくとも1つの該切断歯は3以上の切断角部を含んだ切断エッジを有することを特徴とする切断工具。 - 切断工具であって、
金属製の基部と、
複数の切断歯を有するエッジ部材とを含んでおり、
該エッジ部材は該基部のエッジに沿って該基部に結合しており、
前記切断歯は少なくとも第1金属と第2金属とから成る複合体であり、
該第1金属は該第2金属より軟質であり、該第1金属は該第2金属に接しており、使用中に該第1金属が優先的に摩耗することで溝が提供されることを特徴とする切断工具。 - 基部と、該基部のエッジに沿って提供される複数の切断歯とを有する切断工具の製造方法であって、該方法は、
前記切断歯の切断エッジ内に、前記工具に沿った溝を提供するステップを含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 切込部は切断エッジに機械加工で提供されることを特徴とする請求項19記載の方法。
- 切込部は、使用中に切断エッジの内側領域に提供される軟質材が優先的に摩耗することで形成されることを特徴とする請求項19記載の方法。
