Abstract
Description
この発明は、体内腔に対してインビボ装置の配向を確立するための方法と、インビボでの配向が可能な装置とに関する。
画像センサを含むインビボセンサは、一般に、身体機構の診断で用いられる非侵襲性の器具である。たとえば、胃腸(GI)管内のインビボの状態、たとえば温度、pH電気活性、インピーダンス、または圧力を検知するために、装置(嚥下可能な装置等)を使用することが考えられる。GI管を検知するために撮像装置を使用することができる。
したがって、この発明の目的は、体内腔を通過することができ、かつ、その形状寸法が変化し得るかまたは変化(たとえば膨張および/または収縮)させることのできるインビボ装置を提供することである。この発明の一実施例によると、インビボ装置は、装置本体と、装置本体に結合された少なくとも1つの付属物とを含み得る。この発明の一実施例によると、付属物は膨張可能である(たとえば、延長または崩壊され得る)。いくつかの実施例によると、付属物はインビボで拡大され得、それによって体内腔にある間に装置の形状寸法を変化させる。一実施例によると、インビボ装置が通過する体内腔に対する、この装置の位置および配向を確立するために、インビボ装置の形状寸法を変化させることができる。
