Abstract
れ、しかも金型の洗浄性に優れた低速鋳造用の離型剤を
提供すること。 【解決手段】 無機滑剤、 平均粒子径が0.1〜10μ
mの真球状樹脂粒子、有機カルボン酸金属塩及び水を主
成分とし、無機滑剤が100重量部、平均粒子径が0.
1〜10μmの真球状樹脂粒子が5〜100重量部、有
機カルボン酸金属塩が5〜100重量部及び水が100
〜1000重量部である低速射出金型鋳造用の水性離型
剤。
Description
ィング等の低速射出鋳造において、つまり溶湯の鋳込み
速度が遅いため金型末端に達する前に溶湯が冷えて固ま
りやすく、かつ、収縮巣防止にプランジャーや局部加圧
ピンによる押し湯を行うため、潤滑性が要求される鋳造
方法において使用することができる、湯廻り性と潤滑性
に優れる離型剤に関するものである。
イズキャスティング、層流充填ダイカスト法、竪型加圧
鋳造法等であり、溶湯を低速(0.05〜2.00m/
s)で金型内部に鋳込み、プランジャーや加圧ピンで高
圧(100〜1500kg/cm2)をかけた状態で凝固さ
せる鋳造法である。溶湯の鋳込み速度の遅い低速射出鋳
造法は、金型内の空気やガスを巻き込みにくく、従って
強度の高い鋳造品が得られる。そのため、軽量化の観点
よりアルミニウム化の進む自動車保安部品の製造の際に
は、低速射出鋳造法が採用されている。
型剤としては、黒鉛を利用したもの(特開平5−797
8号公報)、タルク、雲母等の無機粉体を分散した白色
系のものまたはその無機粉体分散液にワックスエマルジ
ョンを組み合わせたもの(特開平9−66340号公
報)、比表面積が40m2/g以上の多孔質合成珪酸化合
物からなる離型剤粒子を水中に懸濁させたもの(特開平
6−114494号公報)を使用することが知られてい
る。
来技術において、黒鉛は潤滑性は良いものの、黒色のた
め周囲の作業環境を汚染し、一方、無機粉体系は、作業
環境は良いが、潤滑性が不十分で、金型に堆積しやすく
且つ堆積物の洗浄性が悪くて金型研掃に時間がかかり生
産性が低下するという問題点を有していた。本発明は、
上記の問題点を解決するものであり、作業環境を劣化さ
せず、湯廻り性、潤滑性に優れ、しかも金型の洗浄性に
優れた低速鋳造用の離型剤を提供することを目的とする
ものである。
達成すべく研究を重ねた結果、無機滑剤、平均粒子径が
0.1〜10μmの真球状樹脂粒子、有機カルボン酸金属
塩及び水からなる水性離型剤が最も優れることを見出
し、発明の完成に至ったものである。すなわち、本発明
は、無機滑剤、 平均粒子径が0.1〜10μmの真球状
樹脂粒子、有機カルボン酸金属塩及び水を主成分とする
低速射出金型鋳造用の水性離型剤である。また、上記発
明において、無機滑剤が100重量部、平均粒子径が
0.1〜10μmの真球状樹脂粒子が5〜100重量部、
有機カルボン酸金属塩が5〜100重量部及び水が10
0〜1000重量部であることを特徴とし;また、真球
状樹脂が、ポリオレフィンの微粒状水性ディスパージョ
ンであることを特徴とし;また、無機滑剤が、タルク、
カオリン、雲母及び窒化硼素からなる群より選ばれた少
なくとも1種であることを特徴とし;また、有機カルボ
ン酸金属塩が、アジピン酸ナトリウム塩、イソフタル酸
ナトリウム塩及びテトラヒドロフタル酸ナトリウム塩か
らなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種であることを特徴
とし;また、無機滑剤が、平均粒子径1〜10μmの鱗
片層状構造を有する滑剤であることを特徴とする。
本発明の離型剤は、下記の無機滑剤、真球状樹脂粒子、
有機カルボン酸金属塩及び水を必須成分とする。 (1)無機滑剤 無機滑剤としては、粉体状のタルク、カオリン、雲母及
び窒化硼素を単独で又は2種以上併せて使用することが
できる。中でも、平均粒子径が0.1〜20μm、好まし
くは1〜10μmの鱗片層状構造を有するタルク等の滑
剤が好ましい。このような形態の滑剤を用いた場合は、
鱗片層状構造を持つ無機粉体滑剤の層間に真球状樹脂が
入り込んだ形の離型被膜が形成され、滑剤単独のときに
比べ潤滑性が飛躍的に向上するからである。
m、好ましくは0.5〜5μmの微粒子状の樹脂を使用す
る。粒子径が0.1μ以下の微細粒子の場合や、粒子が
球状でない場合も、タルク等の鱗片状滑剤の潤滑性を向
上させることができるが、その効果はそれほど大きくな
い。かかる真球状樹脂粒子として、ポリオレフィンを微
粒状水性ディスパージョン(水分散体)にしたものを使
用することが好ましく、かかる水性ディスパージョン
は、例えば特開昭5−156028号公報に記載された
方法、すなわち、オレフィン系重合体と不飽和カルボン
酸を含有するオレフィン系共重合体とからなり、ポリオ
レフィン溶融混合物を調製した後、高速攪拌下でアルカ
リ性水へ分散する方法により得られる。また、かかる平
均粒子径が0.1〜10μmで真球状であるポリオレフィ
ン微粒状水性ディスパージョンは、三井石油化学社製
「ケミパール(商品名)」として市場で入手することも
可能である。
性を向上させることができ、かつ、離型剤被膜に親水性
を与え、金型に堆積する離型剤の除去性を向上させるこ
とができる。有機カルボン酸金属塩としては、アジピン
酸、セバシン酸、ドデカン2酸、フマル酸、フタル酸、
イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸、テトラヒドロフタル酸、
トリメリト酸、ピロメリト酸、マレイン酸、コハク酸等
のアルカリ金属塩、例えばナトリウム塩、カリウム塩が
好ましく、これらをそれぞれ単独で又は併せて使用する
ことができる。中でもアジピン酸ナトリウム塩、イソフ
タル酸ナトリウム塩、テトラヒドロフタル酸ナトリウム
塩が潤滑性の観点から好ましい。

例えばヒドロキシメチルセルロースなどを配合すること
ができ、この場合は、無機滑剤100重量部に対して、
10重量部又はその前後が好適である。
料の調製 本発明の離型剤材料は、上記の無機粉体状滑剤、真球状
樹脂粒子、有機カルボン酸金属塩及び水を主成分とし、
無機滑剤を100重量部、真球状樹脂を5〜100重量
部、好ましくは10〜50重量部、有機カルボン酸金属
塩を5〜100重量部、好ましくは10〜50重量部、
水100〜1000重量部を配合する。上記離型剤原料
を、高速攪拌機等を用いて調製することができる。

ルV−300(商品名)」(酢ビ系共重合ポリオレフィ
ン、固形分濃度40%、粒径6μm)。 真球状ポリオレフィン4:三井石油化学社製「ケミパー
ルA−100(商品名)」(熱可塑性エラストマー、固形
分濃度40%、粒径4μm)。 真球状ポリオレフィン5:三井石油化学社製「ケミパー
ルS−300(商品名)」(アイオノマー、固形分濃度3
5%、粒径0.5μm)。いずれも、固形分として5部に
なるように加えた。なお、粒径はコールター・カウンタ
ー法による測定値である。 ポリエチレンワックス:「629」(アライド・シグナ
ル社製)を炭素数12高級アルコールのエチレンオキサ
イド9モル付加物を用いてワックス分20%のエマルジ
ョンとしたものを用いた(粒径0.1μm)。配合量はワ
ックス分として5部となるように加えた。
トラヒドロフタル酸ナトリウムを使用した。 (4)その他 界面活性剤として炭素数12の高級アルコールのエチレ
ンオキサイド9モル付加物を使用した。沈降防止剤とし
て、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース(ダイセル化学社製
「HECダイセルSP−200」(商品名))を使用し
た。
られるリング圧縮試験法により行い、得られた摩擦係数
により評価した。金型は、寸法:直径100mm×厚さ1
0mm、材質:SKD61であり、これを2枚用いる。こ
の金型を約200℃に加熱し、水で30倍に希釈した前
記試料10mlを金型の片面にスプレー噴霧して均一な被
膜を形成させる。それら2枚の金型の被膜形成面の間に
約500℃に加熱したアルミリング試験片(材質A50
52、外径54×内径27×高さ18mm)をはさみ、1
00t油圧プレス機により圧縮率50%で圧縮した。圧
縮後の試験片の圧縮率と内径変化比から摩擦係数を算出
した。
ガーゼで軽くこすり、金型上の離型剤皮膜がどの程度取
り除けたかで評価した。 ○・・・離型剤皮膜がほとんど残らない。 △・・・離型剤皮膜が若干残る。 ×・・・離型剤皮膜がかなり残る。
えた。均一になったところで、アジピン酸2ナトリウ
ム、真球状ポリオレフィン、ヒドロキシエチルセルロー
スを加えて混ぜ合わせて、離型剤を調製した。評価結果

し評価した。結果を表1に示す。
冷却速度を遅らせることができるため湯廻り性が良く、
さらに潤滑性に優れるため、離型性・鋳肌の平滑性が向
上するだけでなく、プランジャーの終圧や加圧ピンの効
果が製品末端まで行き渡るので、空気の巻き込み巣や凝
固に伴う収縮巣を著しく低下することができ、熱処理に
よる品質向上や溶接が可能となる。また、乾燥固形分は
水に容易に再分散するため、洗浄性に優れ、金型研掃時
間を大幅に短縮することが可能となる。さらに、作業環
境を汚染するおそれもない。
Claims (6)
- 【請求項1】 無機滑剤、平均粒子径が0.1〜10μm
の真球状樹脂粒子、有機カルボン酸金属塩及び水を主成
分とする低速射出金型鋳造用の水性離型剤。 - 【請求項2】 無機滑剤が100重量部、平均粒子径が
0.1〜10μmの真球状樹脂粒子が5〜100重量部、
有機カルボン酸金属塩が5〜100重量部及び水が10
0〜1000重量部である請求項2に記載の水性離型
剤。 - 【請求項3】 真球状樹脂が、ポリオレフィンの微粒状
水性ディスパージョンである請求項1又は2に記載の水
性離型剤。 - 【請求項4】 無機滑剤が、タルク、カオリン、雲母及
び窒化硼素からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種であ
る請求項1又は2に記載の水性離型剤。 - 【請求項5】 有機カルボン酸金属塩がアジピン酸ナト
リウム塩、イソフタル酸ナトリウム塩及びテトラヒドロ
フタル酸ナトリウム塩からなる群より選ばれた少なくと
も1種である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の水性
離型剤。 - 【請求項6】 無機滑剤が、平均粒子径1〜10μmの
鱗片層状構造を有する滑剤である請求項1〜4のいずれ
か1項に記載の水性離型剤。
