871,467. Cartons. LYONS & CO. Ltd., J. Sept. 23, 1959 [Oct. 7, 1958], No. 31951/58. Class 18. A carton formed from the one-piece blank shown in Fig. 1 comprises main side panels 1-5 and partition forming panels 6-9. Portions 7a, 8a, 10 and 11 space the partitions apart and portions 14-19 are closure panels which have notches formed between tabs 20 to interlock with tabs 21 on the partitions The carton, shown partly erected in Fig. 2, is formed by first bending portions 9, 10, 8, and 8a at 90 degrees to their adjacent members and securing portion 8a to portion 10 by adhesive. Secondly, portions 5, 6, 11, 7, and 7a are bent at 90 degrees to their adjacent members and portion 7a secured to portion 5. Finally, panel 4 is bent normal to panel 3 bringing partitions 6, 9 to lie back-to-back at the centre of the carton and folding the closure panels inwardly to lock with the tabs 21.
