Abstract
867,321. Cartons. BREHMER FOLDING BOX CO. Ltd., and THOMPSON, H. H. July 25, 1957 [Aug. 24, 1956], No. 26029/56. Class 18. A box is folded up from a cardboard blank as in Fig. 1 having a base 5 from each side of which extend panels of a breadth equal to twice the height of the completed box walls and provided at each of their opposed side edges with a flap (1-4 and 10-13) of which the lengths equal half, the breadth of the panel, and strips 17, 18 extending from two opposed panels, being of less length than these panels. When the box is erected, flaps 1-4 are enclosed within side panel portions 8, 15 and 9, 16 while flaps 10-13 are similarly enclosed within the portions 6, 19 and 7, 20 ; the strips 17 and 18 are bent flat against the base 5. Finger-holes 24, 25 facilitate unfolding the box.
