Abstract

1289345 Cartons REED INTERNATIONAL Ltd 19 Jan 1970 [8 April 1969] 17950/69 Heading B8P A cardboard blank for forming an open topped box has its side panels 2 surmounted by strips 4 which extend beyond the ends of the side panels so that by folding the extensions 5 on to end panels 3, the main parts 6 of the strips 4 are folded to form inwardly directed flanges at the top of the box. Locking panels 8-11 are folded over the end panels 3 and the extensions 5 to hold the box in its erected condition. The locking panels 8 and 11 have tabs 12 and 13 which engage in slots 14 and 15 in the box base 1. The panels 10 lie across the corners of the box. Gussets 16 connect the extensions 5 and the main strip parts 6.
