Abstract
719,411. Cartons. BIRMINGHAM BOX CO. Ltd. March 13, 1953, [March 15, 1952.] No. 6771/52. Class 18. The sides of a carton are arranged to open outwardly from a normal position, the opening being limited by corner flaps joining the sides. The corner flaps comprise elements 16, enclosed between doubled-over walls 23, 24, which abut the folds 20 when the sides are in their expanded position. In the normal position the edges 12, 13 of the sides abut, portions 14 of the flaps being enclosed by the doubled-over walls. The walls 23, 24 are held folded by tabs 26 engaging extentions 25. The sides may all be double walled or be inclined outwardly or inwardly in their normal position. The carton may have a lid which may be integral with one side and tuck into a slit in an opposite side. It may have more than four sides. It may form a drawer of a drawer-andshell container.
