731,708. Cartons. BIRMINGHAM. BOX CO., Ltd. Sept. 11, 1953 [Nov. 14, 1952], No. 28726/52. Class 18. A carton of the kind which may be collapsed on a diagonal without disengaging the components, is of tubular form and has bottom closing flaps 10-13 which interlock in pairs by tongue and slot connections 23, 26, 24, 25. When the box is collapsed the pairs fold upwards inside the side walls on creases 29, 30. The flap 10 is innermost in the set up carton. The Provisional Specification states that the side walls may have extensions which fold down against or parallel to their inner surfaces to engage the bottom and prevent it collapsing inwardly.
