Abstract

490,316. Boxes. MARKS & SPENCER, Ltd., and SHENFIELD, J. A. April 16, 1937, No. 10886. [Class 18] A box made of cardboard &c. is provided with scored corner pieces 6 which can be folded inwards to lie against the front and back walls in which position they are maintained by flaps 8 on the lid. The lid in closing telescopes into the carton, the edges 81, 8<11> of the flaps 8 pressing against the corner pieces 6 and the flap 10 sliding between the front pieces 6 and the front 1 of the box. The top edges 811 may be cut away at an angle instead of being rounded. The box and its lid are made from a single blank.
