Boxes made from special blanks; lids.-In a carton having a collapsable tubular body A and a hinged closure flap 16 provided on its opposite side edges with hinged flaps 35, 36, the flap 16 is hinged to the wall 13 on a line 17 disposed rearwards of the plane of the front edges of the remainmg walls of the carton and the flaps 35, 36 are arranged, when the closure is opened, to assume an obtuse angular relation with respect to the wall 16 and so engage the front edges of the walls 11, 12 of the carton and hold the closure open while the flaps 35, 36 may be folded within the carton to engage the inside surfaces of the walls 11, 12 and hold the, closure closed. The flaps 35, 36 are separated from the walls 11, 12 by single severing lines which extend rearwards to the crease lines between the wall 13 and the walls 11, 12; the bottom wall 10 has a notch 64 with which a finger tab 61 on the flap 16 engages when the latter is closed. The end closure 15 of the carton may be of the construction described in Specification 329,706.
