Abstract

1,068,191. Flip-top cartons. TAYLOWE Ltd. May 4, 1965 [May 4, 1964], No. 18404/64. Heading B8P. A flip-top carton is made from two blanks which form an outer and inner shell fitting one within the other and held together by folding a closure flap 16 on the inner shell over tabs 15 on the outer shell and retaining the flaps 16 in position by a tuck-in flap 17. The blanks are cut and scored to form the flip-top lid in a known manner, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown). The inner shell has an extension 18 on one side wall 13 which is folded to form a partition in the carton. If desired, the effective height of one of the compartments may be reduced by a false bottom (19b), Figs. 2, 4 (not shown), preferably integral with the inner shell.
