Abstract

1,189,877. Cartons. BIRMINGHAM BOX CO. Ltd. 21 Oct., 1968 [19 July, 1967], No. 33172/67. Heading B8P. A carton is erected from a cardboard &c. blank, Fig. 1 (not shown), having seven panels forming a lid flap and top, rear, base, front, tray and inner panels 13-19, the lid flap having ears 6 for engagement in U-shaped slots 22, and the tray panel having holes 20 for tubs of cream &c. The inner panel 19 is glued &c. to the rear panel 15. A hole 21 in the top panel 14 registers with the centre front hole 20 when the carton is closed. Short tabs 23 cut into the tray panel 18 along the edges of the slots 22 facilitate insertion of the ears 6. By opening the top panel 14, the empty carton can be collapsed flat, folding along score lines 9, 10.
