Abstract

694,948. Cartons. WADDINGTON, Ltd., J. and BRADLEY, H. Sept. 23, 1949, No. 24438/49. Class 18 A carton for electric lamps is made from a single blank folded to form a tube and one end is closed by four flaps 5 extending from each of the sides 2 of the carton so that each flap overlies an adjacent flap along one edge. Three of the flaps have diagonal score lines 8 and the fourth has a corner 7 cut off and each is provided with an arcuate cut-out portion 9 so that the flaps when folded down may be pushed inwards to allow the lamp to be inserted into the carton. Alternatively the cut-out portion may be dispensed with so that a complete end closure is provided. The other end of the carton may be formed with lamp supporting means as described in Specification 654,798.
