Abstract

706,393. Cartons. BOXFOLDIA, Ltd. Feb. 16, 1951 [Feb. 24, 1950], No. 4761/50. Class 18 Continuous flaps at either end of a tubular carton fold inwardly to support an electric lamp &c. clear of the carton walls. The cap 44 of the lamp is engaged by unscored notched flaps 17, 19 which are deformed to exert pressure on the cap. The adjacent flaps 18, 20 are scored to fold inwardly against the carton sides. The flaps 21, 24 supporting the bulb are scored at 28 to-fold inwardly, to give a point contact support in the form shown, or, alternatively, the edges of these flaps may be recessed to give a line contact with the bulb. Notches 40 permit viewing of the bulb end. The scores 28 may meet at points spaced from the flap creases 16 and be joined thereto by cuts. Specification 706,470 is referred to.
