675,391. Lamp cartons. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Feb. 8. 1950 [Feb. 25, 1949], No. 3265/50. Class 18. A carton for incandescent bulbs is formed: from a single blank of paper having a corrugated lining paper therein and comprises, a rectangular sleeve 1 and a diagonal partition 2 contiguous with one end of said blank and arranged so that bulbs inserted fromopposite ends of the carton overlap along, opposite sides of said partition and are resiliently held therein. Slits as at 22 are formed part way along the median line of the partition from each end and also along; the line joining the partition to the contiguous side 17 in a similar fashion and crease lines as at 29, 31 also at each end permit the partition to deform for gripping the bulbs. A pair of sleeves may be inserted into a further open-ended carton, the sides of the latter covering the open ends of the sleeves.
