Abstract

941,596. Cartons. AKERLUND & RAUSING A.B. Feb. 8, 1962 [Feb. 15, 1961], No. 4927/62. Heading B8P. A carton for an electric lamp bulb is made from a cardboard blank having flaps 37-40 which overlap to form an inset apertured platform to accommodate the bulb socket. Flaps 22-25 fold against the inner face of wall panels 2-5 and the blank is folded to form a collapsed tube. Flaps 47, 48, joined to flaps 38, 40 along crease lines 45, 46 respectively, are secured to flaps 37, 39, respectively, so that when force is applied to opposite sides of the collapsed tube the carton is erected. The edges of flaps 37, 39 adjacent flaps 38, 40, respectively, are cut away at 45 degrees to conform with the crease lines 45, 46. Specification 853,891 is referred to.
